my guess is that more is known now and we (the public) just aren't privy to it yet. So hard to be patient though.

Still nothing? This is so sad :(

I think about Nancy a lot. This case is just crazy

Bump for Nancy.

I haven't seen any media updates on Nancy's disappearance. Earlier in this thread several of Nancy's friends and neighbors were posting here but that seems to have gone away. I would like to get more insight into who Nancy is and what might have lead to her disappearance. The silence from her family is very odd to say the least unless they have been instructed that way by LE.

Where are you Nancy.

I would like to hear from some of those folks again, if there's any news at all. I, too, keep checking for updates but there has been zip, zero, nada :(

Hi, this is my first post on webslueths. I was in Paso Robles in June and saw the missing person posters. I’ve been sporadically checking in ever since. I even created a Reddit hoping to get some leads (nothing interesting came of them). But I did come across something in my research and I’ve wondered if it is related. I hope this is not considered “rumor mongering.” Rather, another case was happening at roughly the same time:

Paso Robles police officer accused of on-duty rape

This Paso Robles police officer is accused of having been called to a crime scene and then raping the very woman who called!!! He was put on paid leave on May 9th, just days after Nancy went missing. Police had been at her property the Friday before she was reported missing according to reports. I want to know....was he one of the officers!!!!??

Nancy lived in an unincorporated area, not within Paso city limits. SLO County Sheriff's office would respond, not PRPD.

Thanks, that’s helpful. And as it turns out, he is part of the Sheriff’s department. At least the article says he’s on leave as the Sheriffs department investigated the allegations against him. Although, perhaps they outsourced the investigation of a police officer to the sheriff to avoid possibly appearing biased. It’s confusing.

Edit: Okay, yes he is a police officer being investigated by the sheriffs department, but not himself a sheriffs deputy. So, if her property is unincorporated, he would not have been one to show up. Well, there goes my only possible contribution for now.

This would be correct. A different department always investigates when the accused is on-duty LE, as I understand it.

So this creep was PRPD, not SLO County Sheriff's Dept.

Got it. Thanks. And here I thought I’d cracked the case!

I, and I assume everyone, still really want to know why a Sheriff deputy and highway patrolman showed up to her property on Friday then.

This has been the number one question since day one of Nancy's disappearance.
I have not seen any public statement from SLO Sheriffs Dept. that either confirms or denies that this encounter took place. Nancy's goes missing the next day so there must be a connection and Nancy's family should be pursuing that encounter with LE or at least speak publicly about it to give more insight into her disappearance. Its one thing to go missing but radio silence from the family is very strange and it hinders the search for Nancy.

Well, I almost certainly found out the couple getting married who had guests at Nancy’s house. I won’t put their names here because I assume that would be an infraction of rules. But I feel like knowing them is not to far from being able to determine who exactly was staying on the property and I’d love to ask them some questions.

I don’t have social media (eg Facebook), but I’m so interested to check theirs. Like I feel like if I had a wedding during which a woman went missing and police had to talk to people who were guests at my wedding that there would be some social media chatter.

Like: “So much fun at your wedding, other than the police interrogation. Haha! Can’t wait to see you soon.”

Or

“I hope they find that lady. She was so sweet. I have a photo with her in the background.”

Maybe there is a clue to be found???
