Detectives asking for video footage of area near missing Paso Robles woman's home

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is asking for help from neighbors as they continue to investigate Nancy Woodrum's disappearance.

[...]

Detectives are asking anyone living in the areas of Geneseo Road and La Panza Road who may have video footage from Friday night through Saturday morning to contact them at (805) 781-4500. Possible sources of the video footage may be a home surveillance system or game cameras.

Sheriff's officials also confirmed to KSBY News on Wednesday that investigators searched the riverbed area near Woodrum's home on Tuesday but did not disclose what, if anything, was found in the search.

Search crews also scoured the area around Woodrum's home on Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone with tips that may help investigators in their search for Woodrum can also call (805) 781-4550.

I wish they would clear this up.
Did they stop by just as a courtesy or were there noise complaints or another reason for the visit?

This is a serious reach but I wonder if she ever took something to help her sleep when there were noisy parties at her place. Ambien can do strange things to a person, like sleepwalking,
or eating without them knowing about it the next day. My father in law took a tour of our neighborhood on Christmas night, in his pjs and went into people's homes. He was almost shot by someone who thought he was bear.

That’s a nice thought. Unfortunately, other evidence says otherwise.

Woman still missing in Paso

<modsnip>

“We are still trying to locate her,” Cipolla said. “We receive a lot of tips and leads from the public and we appreciate that. We are still asking for the public’s help. If anyone had any kind of video footage, from either a home surveillance system or game cameras from last Friday night into Saturday morning in the Geneseo Road and La Panza Road area to give us a call. That may be able to help out the investigation.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Nancy Woodrum is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at (805) 781-4550.

Boopsquared- Why not become a Verified Insider? You can tell us what you know and we can choose to believe you or not. Telling us that the evidence says otherwise isn't really helpful. LE is keeping things close to the chest and it would be great if someone such as yourself could clue us in. Thanks!

There were a few posts early on that discussed evidence not yet released in MSM, which I imagine is why they were deleted. Suffice to say that they indicated a crime had occurred. I hope that info will be reposted when it’s okay to do so.

Well, I don't really know who "they" is except that she/he indicated they were a neighbor. It would be best if this person would become a VI. He/She is checked out by mods, and then we know they are probably who they say they are. And...they remain anonymous.

Agreed, having a VI on this thread would be great. Until they are verified of course we can’t truly know the veracity of what’s been posted. And yes the poster claimed to be a neighbor.

FYI my use of “they” you refer to is just referencing the deleted posts.

This story is local to me as well. I think I know who a few of the people who are posting here and I can vouch for them. The general consensus in town is this is a recovery at this point and no longer a rescue. I have known the victim as owner of a popular salon in this small town for 20 years. She is very close to her kids and her daughter worked with her. She lost her spouse 6 years ago. In my opinion, the cops already have an idea what happened, and are trying to gather evidence.

Last Thursday, a car was found fully engulfed in Orcutt, which is just across the county line to the south of us. I cant help but wonder if it could be related.

..Paso is a small town .. everybody knows somebody.. most people who live in Paso know who Nancy and her family are. Right now both the news and authorities are painting this picture of a well known woman in town who mysteriously vanished. Everyone believes the authorities and media aren’t saying anything in order to solve this case.
The reality of it is the entire central coast especially Paso Robles is a year round money making, consistently lucrative tourist town. Spring to summer ...VRBO, Wineries, Wildflower to name a few bring money from all over the world to this small town. If the media actually let the public know the details of this case it could potentially damage paso’s industry. Sucks but true .... They would rather have a possible serial killer on the loose then to risk leaking out information. The same is true for San Luis Obispo .. So what happens in the meantime? This case just like many others gets quietly pushed under the rug and Nancy along with many others becomes a distant mystery. <modsnip>

Interesting, several locals posting. Wonder if I know any if you? I'm hearing things, but nothing that could be verified as anything but rumor. I don't think SLOSO is burying anything. I think they are protecting the investigation.

Woodrum owned a hair salon and was well liked by those who knew her. She was living in a studio portion of the home on the property and was renting out the main residence. A wedding party was staying there for a wedding down the road and had rented out the main house for the weekend. Woodrum’s vehicle was still on the property.
When asked if Woodrum’s disappearance is suspicious. Cipolla said, “Anytime a person vanishes it is suspicious. Until we prove otherwise or locate her, it is still a missing active case.”
