Thanks, Blondie...I guess they really have been investigating her case all this time...

whoa!

thank you blonde for posting the update. i must say i was surprised to see movement on this thread and i wasn't expecting to read the above...

Family members add ... they were told at this point authorities can't prove definitively Wood's death was accidental or the result of foul play.

Detectives did tell family members Wood's death was definitely from drowning, but the way she ended up in the water is unclear.

The fight at the Bar before they went to the Boat Natlie didn't deserve to die that way and R/W knows more than he has ever said . His jealous rage caused his wife's death . He will never confess because of his money protection . He will however answer to a higher Authority when he dies and he knows it. Natlie had a right to live her live to the fullest . R/W saw that she didn't.

The fight they had at Catalina at the hotel was very violent . R/W was very angry with Natalie for her flirting he went into a rage and fought with her on the splendor and didn't even get help for two hours after she was missing . Of Course his big name and money always have protected him .

Natalie Wood's Cause Of Death Changed From 'Accident' To 'Undetermend"

Actress Natalie Wood's cause of death, formerly ruled as accidental drowning, has been formally changed to "undetermined."

The 43-year-old was found drowned in 1981, after a night of yachting off the Californian coast with her husband, Robert Wagner, and actor Christopher Walken. The Los Angeles Coroner's office ruled her death as accidental. The coroner's report noted that a night of heavy drinking could have caused her to slip and fall...

In November 2011, however, the case was reopened after Dennis Davern, the yacht's captain, came forward with new information about the incident. Davern said he believes that Wagner was responsible for Wood's death.

According to Davern, Wagner and Wood had been involved in an intense argument earlier that night ... When Wood went missing, Davern claims, Wagner asked him not to look for her.

... Some of the bruises found on Wood's body have been determined to be inconsistent with death by drowning.

The detectives noted that they still believe drowning to be the ultimate cause of Wood's death. However, the suspicious bruises were one factor that led the L.A. County Coroner to change the cause of death on Wood's death certificate from "accident" to "undetermined."

I never believed Natalie Wood died due to accidental drowning - not then, not now.

  • #709
I never believed it either. I was only about 14 when it happened but I remember and I think the sediment back then was that it was not an accident.

Didnt Christopher Walkin say over the years that he was suspicious too? He was on the boat.

Glad they have categorized this and hope it doesnt collect dust for another 30 yrs.

Also, I always thought she was very beautiful and extremely talented. It's such a shame.

I agree. Yet it is so unfortunate that due to "hollywood" justice that he has gotten away with this, and will never be brought to justice. No matter what information comes out about this.

But there is no statute of limitations on murder, I thought.

It was always my opinion that during the filming of Brainstorm, Christopher and Natalie got too friendly with each other.
