CA - Natalie Wood, 43, drowned off California coast, 29 Nov 1981

War criminals are still prosecuted years after the fact. There was one case just last year where a 93 year old former prison guard from Auschwitz was found guilty of being an accessory to murders committed during the Holocaust. I recall that he didn't express much remorse for his actions, and at least he was found guilty in a court of law, and was sentenced to five years imprisonment for his involvement in those over 170,000 deaths. Not much of a sentence, most likely due to his age and probably the passage of time, but that's still something. There is no statute of limitations on murder in the US.

Of course, I realize there's no statue of limitations on murder. My comment is I just don't think anything will take him down, meaning the evidence there right now will not support an indictment.

As an aside and not connected to this case, did you know that New Mexico had a former 15 yr limit on murder prosecutions?

I've always wondered why Lana never tried to file a wrongful death suit against Wagner to get him to answer questions in a deposition under oath? I don't believe it was an accident either Lana deserves answers but it is doubtful she will ever get them.

Lana recently confessed to her sister's biographer that the ship's captain Dennis Davern told her that Wagner "accidentally pushed" his wife off the boat. But how one could use that conffession now is unclear.

Very interesting article in which all the right questions are asked:

http://www.crimeonline.com/2017/02/06/natalie-woods-undetermined-unacceptable-death/

Wagner is the only person involved in this case who refuses to cooperate. He knows he would incriminate himself if he talks, otherwise why wouldn't he want this matter cleared up and answers if he were truly innocent? It's simple. He killed her, and was not about to let her leave him with nothing. And he knows that she was, at the very least, considering divorce due to his drunk and jealous behavior.

Hi all!

Got my new Globe - headline says:

Natalie Wood Murder Charges!

Damning new forensic evidence and chilling photos "implicating" the actor in the West Side Story beauty's 1981 death off California's Catalina Island have finally surfaced, says a source close to the cold-case probe.
Now a L.A. County grand jury will be asked to examine "the strong case file" against the 87-year-old actor, who had a vicious, booze-fueled fight with Natalie just hours before her death!
[.....]
Investigators claim marks found on her body prove she was choked into unconsciousness and "rolled off" her yacht - wrapped in a heavy down coat so she'd drown!
[.....]
Splendour's skipper, Dennis Davern, says Wagner had a violent, drunken fight with Natalie in the his stateroom and that the quarrel continued on the rear deck, near the dinghy.
[.....]
CCIRI also concludes Natalie's bruises are NOT consistent with trying to climb into a dinghy.
Meanwhile, Davern, who passed a polygraph test, says he saw Natalie only in her nightgown that night. She never returned to her cabin after the fight - yet her body was found in a down coat.
[.....]
Also, two witnesses moored nearby have come forward to corroborate Davern's account of arguing and fighting aboard Spendour's rear deck.

Well, let's HOPE the Grand Jury does something with this new evidence!

Niner, you beat me to it! Thank you for posting this. Now the mainstream media needs to pick this up. The truth needs to be revealed and Natalie needs to get her justice! I hate how Wagner took her life and has been trading on her name. He disgusts me and I don't care how old he is, he needs to be held accountable.

Lana, unfortunately, has been going through a difficult time. Her landlord evicted her and her family with only 10 days notice (which is completely illegal) and she had to give up most of her cats to animal shelters. Even worse, her daughter's cancer is back and Evan suffers from COPD on top of it. Lana, her daughter, son-in-law and grandkids are looking for a new place to live. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that most of her problems stem from Robert Wagner, who has done everything he can to make sure that she can't find work in the industry. Not only did he kill her sister, he took her nieces away from her and badmouthed her, but he had her blackballed. I can't wait for his 🤬🤬🤬 to be exposed and for him to be brought up on charges! This NEEDS to happen!

I have been interested in this case for several reasons. One was I loved watching Hart to Hart in which Richard Wagner starred in Natalie Woods was so iconic and beautiful, and also we took a short trip to Catalina once. Since I live in Hawaii and knew The Splendour has been docked here in Honolulu for a long time, I have been on a mission to find it. Two weeks ago my husband and I strolled up and down two rows of boats with no luck. Tonight we found it! It is in slip #498 in the Ala Wai Harbor and is for sale! I am fairly certain a lot of changes have been made as far as the railings go because there were basically no safety rails at the back of the boat. I took several pictures!

If that yacht could only talk....

After looking at photos of the Splendour at the time of Natalie's death, the yacht's railings appear similar. I was unable to see the back of it this evening but I see in old photos the back is lower so there is a substantial barrier around the perimeter.

i don't think the 10 days is illegal. she's in CA right? this article mentions 5 days is legal:
https://www.upcounsel.com/how-to-evict-a-tenant-in-california

If the judge rules in your favor at the trial, the court will issue a Writ of Possession, which gives a sheriff the power to physically lock the tenant out of the rental property if the tenant does not voluntarily vacate within five days. Depending on the circumstances and provisions in the rental agreement, the court may also order the tenant to pay any unpaid rent, attorney's fees, or up to a $600 penalty. A landlord cannot legally try to evict a tenant without the Writ of Possession from the court and without having a sheriff present during the eviction.

The sheriff typically has three to 15 days to post the notice on the dwelling; then, the tenant has five days from the date of the notice posting to vacate the property. If the tenant does not leave, the sheriff will return within six to 15 days to physically remove the tenant from the property.

lastly, it is an exaggeration. she has been working "in the industry": http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0939836/

She has had work, but not as much as she had wanted. She lived in that home for several years. She was told by an agent at ICM that she had been blackballed. So, how did that happen? Your defense of Wagner is more than a little bit disturbing. So the LASD who is investigating is not a reliable source? The mainstream media is avoiding picking up the story, for obvious reasons.

For several years, Wood lived with Evan and her grandchildren in a rented home in California. When they could no longer afford the rent, they had to move out. With no one to take them in, the family was suddenly homeless.

Her financial crisis has been worsened her daughter's mounting medical bills. Evan battled Hodgkin's lymphoma and her radiation treatments permanently scarred her lungs. She breathes through an oxygen compressor and her cancer has since returned.

http://www.insideedition.com/headli...-natalie-wood-now-homeless-its-just-difficult

Wagner is a creep for not helping Natalie's niece! No matter how he feels about Lana, Evan is Natalie's niece. But all he cares about is his own behind. His isolating Lana from her nieces was selfish. She was a part of their lives before that. And he moved on
way too fast.

Natalie Wood murder charges – ‘grand jury to target Robert Wagner’

One of Hollywood’s most disturbing mysteries comes to a climax - by New Idea

Damning new evidence’ has emerged about the mystery death of actress Natalie Wood, leading to calls for her husband Robert Wagner to be indicted for her murder in 1981. That’s the sensational claim published in the US today.

Ongoing questions about the tragic actress’s drowning off the coast of California’s Catalina Island, have not been silenced by the coroner’s original conclusion the death was an accident – with the actress trying to climb into a dinghy and drowning in the darkness of night.

However since that terrible night, Robert, now 87, has been plagued with questions over his role in her death after it was revealed the couple had had a vicious, booze-fuelled fight just hours before she died.

Now a startling new report by US publication Globe says a Los Angeles County grand jury will be asked to reinvestigate the cold case in light of conflicting conclusions found from the autopsy. Authorities reopened the death probe in 2011 and the coroner’s office changed the cause of death to “undetermined”.

Investigators tell the magazine that marks found on Natalie’s body ‘prove she was choked into unconsciousness’ and ‘rolled off’ her yacht in a heavy coat so she’d drown.

“Once this goes to the grand jury, he’s sunk and will finally pay for what he did. Justice has been perverted from the very beginning,” one anonymous, purported investigator is quoted as saying by Globe.

The Cold Case Investigative Research Institute (CCIRI) took on the case last year and is claimed to be providing the grand jury with forensic proof that Natalie was murdered. CCIRI boss Sheryl McCollum told the Globe that they’ve “consulted experts in body language, underwater crime scene, domestic violence, statement analysis and criminal profiling” to crack the case.

Robert’s four-hour delay in calling for help and his refusal to turn on the vessel’s searchlights “is very troubling” to investigators, as well as the fact a voice stress analysis of his denial, conducted by Florida expert Michael Sylvesteri, allegedly suggests he was ‘lying’.

Robert has always maintained his innocence, however Lt John Corina of the sheriff’s homicide bureau says the star is refusing to cooperate with his investigation.

I can only pray that justice is served very soon for Natalie. It's been so very, very long.
