I know what you mean, and it's unfathomable. (I am so sorry about the little kitten; losing a life you cared about and nurtured so lovingly is devastating!) As for Jennifer Tupper who, at age 31, killed this helpless newborn, the question any thinking person would ask is why, after going through practically nine months of pregnancy, did she kill the baby? Why trade the baby's life - and her own, since her sentence could keep her in prison for life - when she could have easily surrendered the child to a hospital, fire station, or even a neighbor? I wonder what made her make such an insane, evil decision? Maybe I answered my own question here: insane or evil or, perhaps, both?
As I looked through the personal fb page posted above by cvaldez (thank you, cvaldez), Jennifer T. looks so wholesome, happy, and just, well, normal. What happened between the time those pictures were taken and the first week of August, 2021? I'm surprised there's not more being said about it in the Mountain View area of California. Could something like this be such a regular occurrence that it's not worthy of much more than a few paragraphs? Lots of questions on my end --- clear on the other side of the country.
