With the personality of Hans, I very much doubt that this will be the last time that he might have been hurt. I guess they will have to keep him in protective custody for his own protection.

"Police confirmed Tuesday the body had been identified as Nina Reiser. A source told KTVU that the remains were found in duffle bag stashed inside a garbage bag."

"Hans Reiser then offered another story, in which he said he strangled Nina after the two fought. He was offered a deal for second degree murder, 15-to-life, and waived his appellate rights"

HAYWARD, Calif. —
A jury ruled Tuesday that convicted killer Hans Reiser was liable for the wrongful death of the mother of his two children and should pay them $60 million in total damages.
Just before 11 a.m., Alameda County Superior Court Judge Dennis Hayashi announced that the jury had ruled that because Reiser was found guilty in 2008 of killing their mother, he should pay $25 million to each to his son and daughter for general damages, and another $10 million in punitive damages.
The verdict came after three hours of deliberations over two days. The four-day trial began with opening statements last Wednesday, with Reiser acting as his own attorney.
Reiser, 48, is serving a term of 15 years to life in state prison for murdering Nina Reiser, 31, at his home in the Oakland hills on Sept. 3, 2006, while they were in the midst of divorce proceedings.
The couple's children, Rory, 12, and Niorline, 11, have been living in Russia, where Nina was born and raised, with Nina's mother since December 2006. more at link: http://www.ktvu.com/news/news/crime-law/jury-rules-favor-children-reisers-wrongful-death-t/nPw3f/

Why did he put the jury through a 6 month trial and now decide to negotiate a sentencing deal by bringing the police to his wife's body?
Because he's an arrogant idiot. In this civil trial he compared himself to Moses!

Oh, dang, was the civil trial filmed? It's so fascinating to watch Hans spin his bizarre narcissistic tales and think anyone is going to believe him
