I know that in another case I am following on here, the grandparents have the child while the State actually has "custody". Like you say, different states though, I do not know if it works differently. There were hearings to determine it though and I would not doubt the grandparents would have to request a hearing and be determined capable? I just hope she has been placed with family members deemed qualified which looks to be the grandparents from what we know.

Since these children spent so many years with them apparently safely and loved, I would think it would be a likely option, or I would hope so anyhow.

So basically the police have done all they can do, and it's up to the state and the defense to muddle through everything. Am I correct? They are not looking for anything new, and they have their case and evidence solid.
I saw that it is no longer "presumed" it is "died" and they have a definite date.

I am so saddened by this.

I am not sure if I prefer living in the age where we just read about stuff in the paper after everything was over and done with as opposed to hearing about things as they happen. It's like once you know one thing, you have to see it unfold. I would rather not know. Unfortunately, this happened in front of my face. I couldn't go home that night that SWAT was there, and I opened Pandora's box by finding out what was going on. Finding out my child went to the same school just made things worse. Knowing more about the footsteps I followed with that evil beast just makes me want to go back to bed and hide under the covers. Instead, I need closure. I need a happy ending.

Pardon my personal musings. I just wanted to get clarification in how the judicial process works while we wait patiently for two months.

I think about this child living a probably pretty decent life with his grandparents and being loved for the better part of his life and then being yanked, moved, new school, new city and finding himself with a monster who was his own father and it makes me both ill and breaks my heart.

May this child RIP and may his sister be protected.

Are you freaking kidding me this accomplice JG is only looking at six years????????? How is this even possible???? No, it can't be right can it???

JG took those children from a loving environment and subjected them to bio donor for over a year. The grandfather reported him to CPS, she KNEW he was abusing Noah. She heard him in pain and left and didn't call 911 or LE for almost 10 days. How is she not more culpable than a maximum 6 year sentence?

This is wrong on so many levels I can't even fathom.
