(snip)
Police are planning a news conference to discuss the results of an autopsy done on human remains found several miles from where a teenage girl disappeared last week in Riverside County.
Deputy Melissa Nieburger, a sheriff's spokeswoman, says the identification of the decomposed remains was "related" to the disappearance of 17-year-old Norma Lopez. She declined to elaborate.

Norma's Father spoke to a Spanish news source and confirmed it is Norma.
( I would like to have a link to that if there is one)

People are posting RIP's on her Facebok page.

LA times site is confirming, but saying they await official confirmation at the presser.

Desert Sun wire services • July 21, 2010

An autopsy was conducted today on human remains found in east Moreno Valley, but while officials did not immediately identify the body, the father of a 17-year-old girl who disappeared last week told a Spanish-language television station the body is his daughter.

Martin Lopez confirmed to KMEX that the remains are those of his daughter, Norma Angelica Lopez, the station reported on its website.

You know, how far away is this from the nurse who disappeared from the bookstore?

God be with Norma's family and everyone who loves her. This is so heartbreaking.

If you're talking about the nurse who was found dead in Napa, it's about a 7 - 8 hour drive.
