Could this be Kathryn Elaine Stine? Missing from La Puente California sometime in 1968. She was 18 at the time of her disappearance.

Her sibling posted in a Facebook group. Because she was over 18 there was no mp report filed.

The needle marks on the decedents arms could have been the result of diabetes, and not necessarily intravenous drug use.

Okay then, shouldn't we make a thread for Kathryn Elaine Stine, or is there already one?

Nothing came up in search when I typed her name. I will make one :)

They look reqlly similar and the timeframe works. But Kathryn had brown eyes while the UID had blue eyes.

Insulin does not go intravenous but into belly or thigh fat tissue. I am afraid needle marks on the arms are usually narcotic related (unless someone was in hospital recently and got dialysis or IV).

But whatever the reason, drug related or not, this girl needs a name and justice.

I thought her family member stated that Kathryn had an eye color between green and blue....but besides that....I really don't see what you (not particularly you, but also others) see, that there is a resemblance between Kathryn and this Jane Doe.

The facial shape, high cheekbones, pronounced eyebrow bows and the small nose are very similar.
But i really doubt the UID is Kathryn, while a young woman can definitely change a lot within a few months or a year - from her haircolor and cut to even starting to use narcotics, one thing is certain - she cant change her eye color.

Kathryn's eyes are blue/green not brown.

Reconstructions of the victim by NCMEC and Barbara Martin-Bradley; suspect Taylor Morris Teaford and age progression.

Although this young woman has never been identified, it is known that her killer was Taylor Morris Teaford. He "disappeared" in 1969 and has yet to be located.

Is he still alive? Even if he is dead are there other victims out there? This kind of reminds me of El Dorado Jane Doe. They found her killer, but not her name. In that case there was an arrest. Taylor Teaford has possibly been doing God knows what since the 60’s. That’s terrifying.
Could he have been locked up in another state? If he used an alias and different birth year could he have (I ask with hope) been incarcerated and not free for 50+ years?

It is hard to say what became of Taylor Teaford. You are probably correct in thinking that he continued his homicidal behavior past the murder of this unidentified victim. The FBI actually had him on their list for a murder in 1968, and this girl was killed in 1969. Then in May of 1972, he is removed from their list for the strange reason that Federal charges had been dropped?!

It is possible that the FBI had information which indicated Teaford was no longer among the living. This was the case with a few others who were quietly removed from their list.

There are numerous (and speculative) possibilities regarding Teaford's disappearance. He might have been incarcerated under a different name, he might have died under a different identity, or perhaps he just came across someone who refused to be his victim and took care of the problem.
