[FONT=&quot]LA MIRADA, Calif (CNS/ FOX 11) - One man is dead and sheriff's deputies are searching for suspects and victims in a carjacking and a series of shootings in Pico Rivera, Whittier and La Mirada on Saturday, authorities said.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]The carjacking was reported about 2:15 p.m. in the Pico Rivera area, said Deputy Ryan Rouzan of the Sheriff's Information Bureau. The carjacked vehicle is described as a green mid-sized SUV.[/FONT]

Someone in a car began shooting at people about 4 p.m. in Pico Rivera, according to sheriff's officials. The exact location was not available. More shootings occurred in other locations.

While sheriff's officials are still trying to account for victims, at least four shooting victims were taken from multiple locations to hospitals for treatment, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.

WHITTIER (FOX 11 / CNS) - Whittier police have arrested a man and women in connection with a shooting at a hotel, and sheriff's homicide detectives Sunday investigated if the pair was related to random shootings in La Mirada and Whittier that left one man dead and three people injured.
