<modsnip: Quoted post was removed> ... right now I'm listening to Mike talk about LE excavating the whole yard and what that might mean, in case anyone is interested. I would post it here but I don't know how.

Thank you! Mike has some questions about the excavation of the backyard. I was hoping he would mention the driveway but I don't think he did.

I’m not following the endless stream of YouTube’s but I don’t believe the boys ever made it to cal city so the whole concrete thing ...meh. IMO.
The most recent photos we’ve seen to my knowledge are over a year old. So THAT is my starting point. I haven’t moved outside Thanksgiving 2019. I’m starting my search from there and circling out. JMO

As others have said, this timeline is incredible and is so helpful in following this case. I only check in every few days because the lack of any development is so frustrating.

One thing I still haven’t heard mentioned: whether LE has spoken to the other children (biological and foster) that have been removed from the home. Does anyone know the ages? Even if they’re small children, they could potentially provide information in a forensic interview with an expert - e.g. what goes on in the house, how they’re treated, when they last saw their siblings.
I hope that the other children have been interviewed, and preferably by one of the FBI's child forensic interviewers. If not, then by someone who was trained by them. But, there has been no reporting on this.

AFAIK, we've only learned that the six children range from age 3 (Orson) to age 10. MOO

God only knows what these children have seen, or been subjected to.

I think the CPS investigation will end up being very important to the case. By now caseworkers probably have spoken with the children multiple times.

During the initial interview they usually ask questions about the family dynamics and try to get an idea about how the child perceives each family member.

They will ask what the rules are in the family and what happens when they break a rule or "get in trouble." They ask if they feel safe at home. They ask about sleeping arrangements and mealtime and pretty much everything about how the family interacts with each other.

If there is a specific incident in question (in this case their two brothers going missing) they should be asking all kinds of questions in relation to that.

So if the siblings haven't seen the boys for a few months it should be clear. Social workers should be able to tell if the kids are afraid or are hiding something. They are also trained to look for signs of coaching by the parents.

We don't know if LE or the FBI has questioned them but I would hope at least CPS has discovered something.

IMO

I was surprised the police chief said they exacted the whole thing. From the photos it sure didn't look fully excavated.

I agree!

I think the other kids are key in when the boys were last seen. Hopefully, CPS and being in a nice, loving home will help them feel comfortable and help them feel more at ease with revealing what went on in that family.

“I realized that I left the back gate open and I panicked and came inside the house, searched the house, me and my wife,” Trezell West told 23ABC. “Once that didn’t pan out, I got in the van, I looked down the street in both directions, it was getting dark, getting cold.

“We’ve looked everywhere possible in a house we could possibly look,” California City Police Chief John Walker told KGET. “We brought in search dogs, cadaver dogs, any dog you can think of has been in that house and has not had any kids anywhere in the house.”

“Due to the adopted family having lived in Bakersfield prior to moving to California City, as well as Bakersfield being the biological families’ residence, we are assisting with conducting follow-up interviews, pursuing tips and other investigative avenues,” Bakersfield Police Sergeant Robert Pair said in a statement to SFGATE. “We have conducted numerous interviews, search warrants and explored other investigate routes to assist California City Police with the ongoing search for the boys.”

Why would you go back inside the house after realizing you left the gate open OUTSIDE? Surely the first place you go and look is outside of the gate, if they are in the house they will be fine.

Exactly and wouldn't his wife of seen or heard the boys? I just can not even with these two. I feel bad for the chief.

I think that's just inaccurate reporting. "The Sun" stated that the boys went outside to play with their dad but we know that's not what he said. Imo
Thats true... its frustrating when they do that! moo
