Oh, oh, ask him about more recent pictures of the boys. Why have they not been provided?

I just sent him another message. ;)

I would like to see LE verify that the mom had more recent pictures of the boys on her phone but I doubt they would comment about that.

Wow. They shouldn't even have to ask. Let LE do their job. Trespassing is not going to help Orrin, and Orson. MOO
Unfortunately, there are some who always make a bad situation worse. But, thank heavens for the many caring citizens who are doing their best to find the boys.

JANUARY 25, 2021

Here's what authorities have done so far in the case.
  1. Excavated the parents backyard, to make sure the boys weren't buried underneath.
  2. Used search dogs which found the scent of the boys inside the home, but not outside as they were reported to be before disappearing.
  3. Used cadaver dogs inside the home -- no scent of human remains detected.
  4. Search warrant used to collect items from the home, including adoptive parents cell phones, ipads and other electronic devices. Phones have since been returned.
  5. Adoptive parents van tested with luminol - no indication of blood found.
  6. Spoke neighbors in the area. No positive ID of any of the Wests 6 children. Walker says the family only moved to California City in September. They previously lived in Bakersfield.
  7. The parents, extended family members, and others were interviewed.
  8. The West's four other children were removed from the home.
  9. LE and volunteers searched a 5-mile radius in the desert.
  10. Unmarked police cars have surveilled/are surveilling the area.
  11. LE asked the parents and multiple others to take polygraphs.
  12. LE has reviewed/is still reviewing security video, body cam footage and interviews.
  13. LE has searched the homes of (12?) SO's in the area.
  14. Ongoing analysis of [potential] evidence is taking place in Bakersfield.
  15. The home has been searched multiple times including the shed, the attic, the chimney and the plumbing.
  16. Searched adoptive parents previous properties in Bakersfield
  17. Searched former Saddle Ranch Resort property
  18. Various agencies gathered "statistical" information of the home's perimeter while using drones from above for imaging.
  19. Measurements and photographs were taken from inside and outside the home and the gate was further examined.
  20. As of 12/29, LE's review of video has shown
    • No sign of the boys leaving by the side gate that TW said he left open
    • No sign of an animal or someone else going in to get the boys

According to Walker, the last time the boys were seen by anyone other than the Wests was by their grandmother in Bakersfield. Walker was unable to comment on when that occurred.

Before that, Walker said someone other than family also saw the boys in Bakersfield. Walker was unable to comment on that date as well.

Sources:

Chief Walker did say in his interview with Bayan that there was a POI but would not comment if there was one or more POI.

I am wondering if the scent of the boys that the dogs picked up was just that, a sent! Maybe the West boys had personal items in the home that the adopted parents brought with them but not the children.

A little weather won’t keep Bayan away!
Thank you to Bayan and to all community leaders who are seeking to channel energies in a positive way, from prayers to searches.

Excellent! Yes. This is what we need. We are going to spin ourself crazy with theories unless we establish a solid base to study. Facts are so important. What is said is important. What isn’t said is important.

@PommyMommy
Your presence, contributions and participation makes you one of the top assets to WS. I say #1. Your loyalty and consistency has shown through here at WS over the past few years. Since the day I first saw you posting in early 2018. You are my WS rock. You give me the confidence to speak the voice inside my heart, be heard and listened to. Thank you for all you do for us and WS. We appreciate our pommy.
100% agree! I’m a huge fan of @PommyMommy too. And you as well, your contributions on several threads are wonderful. I hope you’re feeling well @imstilla.grandma, I know you’ve had some health issues.

Much love and appreciation for both of you ❤️❤️

That's right! I'll add that but wait to post it again in case anyone else has any additions. MOO

Can you imagine six boys under the age of ten shut up in the house all day, not allowed outside due to the pandemic? It’d be pure pandemonium.

Chief Walker did say in his interview with Bayan that there was a POI but would not comment if there was one or more POI.
I think he meant there were several POI's, not just one. When Bawan asked if there were any POI's he said, "Of course." Then he asked "Who," and Walker said "I'm not going to disclose that."

Then he asked if there was a "person or 'persons' of interest," and he said he wasn't going to disclose that either.

Usually anyone close to the investigation would be a POI. That usually includes family and any friends who saw the boys recently. The registered sex offenders whose houses they searched would have been POI's.

So I think the only thing we know for sure is that there are no named "suspects" in this case. Or at least at the time of the interview there wasn't. We probably won't know until there is an arrest.

Imo

“We’re still processing all of the information we do have,” Walker said. While California City Police Department remains the primary agency on the investigation, Walker said the FBI, Bakersfield Police Department and Kern County District Attorney’s Office are helping with the investigation, including analyzing evidence and providing manpower for some searches.

“They’ve been great as far as bringing additional bodies,” he said. “For instance, when we searched Silver Saddle, they brought a lot of bodies down to help us. The main resort is probably 20 acres with numerous structures, buildings and rooms.”

“We’ve been to the home at least four times interiorly,” he said. “We with the FBI did a complete search of the backyard. The second or third night after they went missing, we totally excavated the backyard. The search has been completely thorough.”

The most recent search occurred Friday, Jan. 22, when officers from multiple agencies gathered “statistical” information of the home’s size and using drones for aerial imaging. Officers also examined the back gate, through which led to a vacant lot adjacent to the backyard.

Walker said his department has put “countless” hours into the search for the missing toddlers, on top of his officers’ normal day-to-day responsibilities in the community.

Walker added the department still maintains regular contact with the adoptive parents throughout the investigation and described them as cooperative. They no longer remain located at the California City home, having relocated back to Bakersfield.

Foul play continues to be suspected, according to Walker, and has maintained over the course of the investigation that two toddlers could not have just simply walked out of the yard on their own without a trace.

“Someone out there knows something, they know where these boys are what’s happened to these boys, yes there has to be someone,” Walker said.

“What would I really hope is that people provide specifics,” Walker said. “Where, when, names of people you spoke to and information they gave you, or if you are that person, how can I contact you, where can you take me and what can you show me.”

He added CCPD receives a lot of “speculation calls of ‘I think this is what happened.’” While appreciative of the calls, Walker said his department can’t follow up on those types of calls.

Walker added that those private investigators who become involved are welcome to conduct their own leads, but urged them to share information with CCPD.

“If you find something, call us with the information and allow us to come out and do our investigation,” Walker said. “Take a photo, give us a call, write down the information and give us a specific place to search. There are so many places we would like to search but we would really like to direct our resources somewhere specific.”
Boys still missing after more than month

*It startled me when I was first skimming the article at the mention of the word “bodies.” It’s clear to me what images are invading the Chief’s mind as he speaks. Much as he probably tries to push them away. The mouth cannot betray the brain.

A lot of people use the word "bodies" in place of men, people, crew members, etc. It just means "more help". It's a very common figure of speech I've heard all my life. I don't think it means he has dead bodies on his mind.

Thanks for your common sense view that many of us hold including myself. My attention to language is sometimes skewed by emotional responses. I’m not saying speaking with emotions is a bad thing, but it does mean I might twist a few words or get facts wrong in order to verbalize my thoughts. Spouting incorrect information isn’t helpful for anybody and I certainly don’t wish to be included in that category.

See this is what I’ve kind of felt and I’m sure most do ... is the use of the word “specifics “ . They are having a hard time finding them . Someone is going to have to crack. Pressure , pressure is what they need .
