I asked about the age range of the other 4 children earlier. IIRC, the oldest is 10, the rest younger. I don't believe children in this age range would know the exact date of Dec 19th as the last time they saw their little brothers. Now, I'm sure LE had someone skilled speak to these children and they could have determined the date based on what they said, matching it up with already told statements. I still think it's odd they would indicated Dec 19th at that age. IMO

Kids that age can describe a lot through drawing too. Hopefully , like you said, they have someone really skilled working with them.

They probably didn't indicate Dec. 19th, but something more like, "The day we went to Sonic" or something like that (I have no clue if they even have Sonic in CA, just an example).

This is most likely the case. Good example. It was why I mentioned LE using someone skilled in speaking to children during an investigation. IMO

They wouldn't necessarily know the date, but they might remember that it was two days before their brothers went missing or that it was the day they went Christmas shopping, got dropped off at their grandparents, or whatever else they may have done that day. Imo

So if my maths don't fail me, it's $120k until February 23rd and if those 25k don't get extended, the reward goes down to 95k
The city wants this resolved ASAP. So do we, but this tells me something about what their theory heads but I can't pinpoint.
Will just say it's interesting they put a deadline.

This happens more and more often, and instead of motivating youtubers & folks on social media to act more responsibly (because the local police department is pleading with the public to NOT act like irresponsible knuckleheads), it seems to have the exact opposite affect.

None of this garbage is helping locate these boys. Marches outside the extended family members house? All that says to me is "look, we snooped around online and found out where the family members live, now lets go there and create a scene make sure the media shows up too". There is nothing about this action that assists with locating these missing kids. That junk, is about "protesters" and youtubers getting more attention. I find it all quite disgusting.

If December 19 was the first day of Christmas break -- some kids would indeed know the date!

I certainly agree with 'day we went to Sonic/day that Grandma called/day that Dad put gas in the van' method of determining the date.

Adopting children to sell them makes no sense. With that much paper trail left behind? No. If you want to sell a child, you kidnap a child, you don’t adopt and leave a paper trail behind. I honestly don’t understand how this theory could even make sense.

Adopting kids to abuse doesn’t make sense either . And, when selling a “story” about the boys having wandered off or an abduction scenario, the paper trail becomes irrelevant. Notwithstanding, very few of us believe the tale they’ve spun. JMHO.

The upcoming deadline on the reward money is probably a tactic to get someone (more than one) talking. Now or never with reward money on the table. IMO

At the end of the fiscal year, anything left over from previously allocated funds are cleared out. It’s possible that City Council will reinstate the reward for the 21/22 fiscal year.

When did they say the kids visited them on the 19th or that they didn't see them due to covid? I don't think it's been confirmed which grandparents the kids visited.

TW stated they kept them inside didn't let them go anywhere. Due to the pandemic. They dropped them off at the grandparent's on the 19th. You right though it was not stated which grandparents. It would nice to hear it from the horse's mouth ( the grandparents) They could easily clear that up. They have voices. There are 6 children dependant on grown ups. Speaking up. MOO

It's a double edged sword for sure, can be a massive help (this forum would be considered social media) or be the reason an investigation is tainted beyond repair.
But I'd rather have people talking about the cases, spreading the word and maybe sleuthing than not, all within rules and laws of course.

I agree with you so much...and as someone who followed Savannah Spurlock extremely close...I'm 100 % sure the media attention helped that beautiful girl get justice at the end.
