Still Missing CA - Orson & Orrin West (3&4), California City, 21 Dec 2020 #5

This case reminds me of the little boy who disappeared from his driveway. His name started with an R and I believe he was a Jr. Anyone know who I'm talking about?

Just thinking out loud!

If 4 boys went into the car and none came out upon arrival...
That means that either:
The boys were with someone (likely in Bakersfield)
Or they were already deceased and the children lied..

for either of these scenarios, we should be seeing more searches in Bakersfield right?
But they’re so focused on the home.. so either they must have evidence the toddlers did in fact move to Cal City with the family, or maybe they did believe the older children and got info that they were left at the house alone that afternoon?

I’m surprised we haven’t gotten a “breaking news: LE spotted searching Bakersfield property..”

My oldest son was born in NYC. When he was about 18 months we had to go to a skyscraper - don't remember why. There was about 8 elevators in an alcove and I started searching for what floor we needed. He ran onto an elevator full of people - he just fit in. I tried to grab him but the door closed. I was beside myself. I waited at the elevators then a few minutes later someone brought him back down. Talk about relief! This was really unusual behavior for him.

I have found this confusing too. LE certainly has spent a considerable amount of time in that back yard....and digging elsewhere it seems as well. I'm not sure if that is a result of tips, of forensic evidence or what. It certainly would appear they have a particular theory, and it involves something buried.

I would at least first go check the neighbors and round the neighbors up for a foot search in the area.

Here is why I do not think it is the case that the boys just went missing earlier that day and they fibbed about the timeline: law enforcement shut down search and rescue.

Before shutting down search and rescue, I am confident that LE considered the possibility that the boys had gone missing earlier in the day. To shut down the search so quickly (it was shut down by Tuesday AM), they must have been very, very confident that the kids did not wander off that day. I assume that they had much more evidence than we know of to make that conclusion, but that probably includes at minimum multiple surveillance videos showing no children departing from the home and no one entering and taking children from the home. The chief did say in one of the early media hits that there was no evidence of the kids wandering off or anyone entering to take them. That's why the chief has repeatedly said he has remained focus on the Cal City home. At this point it seems to me they have worked hard to eliminate the Cal City home and yard (he said they searched everywhere possible - including chimney etc, dug up the yard, now used GPR on the yard, dogs etc.).

So if Cal City home is eliminated, what next?

Those are good points. I forgot the fact that the dogs didn’t pick up the boys’ scent outside either...so my initial thought that maybe they sent them out earlier and weren’t paying attention to them doesn’t hold water. Sadly....

I agree, I think it’s ridiculous that they’re getting harassed! If TW and JW are there though that may be why they are outside? Either way it’s not ok. I think the police are building a case .

I don't think they even know for sure that the parents are living there. I haven't seen any proof that they are. For all we know they could be staying at a hotel.

They look younger than the stated ages in these pics. And very solemn.

Nope, because I doubt they were playing with chalk...ever. Pretty lame story, right? I grew up with 3 brothers, raised 3 sons and have 6 grandsons and I’m telling you they weren’t interested in playing with chalk. These two couldn’t even throw a few toys out on the patio to make their story even the least bit plausible. I can only imagine the conversations that go on at the Police Department after they come back from one of these calls.

I can barely take looking at these little boys faces !!! The older brother is watching over his younger one , I’ve noticed that in other pics as well. They look worried, and very uneasy . Moo

I agree. That is why there is a very tight lid on the information and investigation. The fact that the other children in the home were removed is very interesting.

Oh that is SO telling . Out of all the extended family too... they couldn’t go anywhere else but with the state ? Don’t forget too that 2 of them were their bio kids !!!
