True. I found a Jane Doe found in NY. I know Pamela had ties to NY but apparently she was last seen in Santa Monica. I believe based on the PMI that the Doe would have died in 1973.

Everything and I mean everything matches but location IMO. I would love to hear opinions on this. This is one of the times I can't really tell how similar bone structure is between two people. I don't exactly know what it is.

I would submit her. They recently identified Laura O’Malley missing in 1975 from NY her remains were in California.
Also Arminda Grangela Rodrigues from New Jersey missing in 1973 ended up in California. So anything is possible !!

i've found a lot more information about Pamela. she was from Gloversville, Fulton County, NY, and she had two younger sisters. both of her parents as well as both sisters have since passed away, the most recent one in 2017. one of the sisters had no children that i could find, but one sister had a daughter who is still alive today and even living in the area that Pamela's family was from. i even found the niece's Facebook page. i don't want to reach out to her personally, as that is far too invasive

i feel like i should turn this information in to the authorities, or some sort of organization that deals with genetic genealogy, so that they can be in contact with Pamela's niece regarding her case and hopefully get some DNA on file. but i just don't know who to turn it in to, especially without it seeming odd that i, a stranger, have essentially done this family's tree lol. but if anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them

ETA: i've also found Sally, Pamela's friend that she was going to visit in Malibu. Sally is also from Fulton County, though she lives elsewhere currently. i'm pretty sure she's still alive today -- no proof of death found, though most recent proof of life was c.2020 -- though she would be 73 years old currently

ETA (again): i haven't had a chance to go through this entire thread, so forgive me if this is old news, but earlier today i submitted Pamela as a possible match to Sonoma County Jane Doe 1979. Mary Bell of Doe Network replied, "Your suggested match has previously been submitted to law enforcement by Doe Network."

i got a chance to actually look through this thread and realized that Pamela's niece has actually been involved in this forum. so no need to forward any information to LE or anything. apologies for that, please disregard that part of this post!
