Toni Lamond, known for her roles in Annie Get Your Gun and My Fair Lady, dies aged 93
Australian performer Toni Lamond has died aged 93 after an extensive career in cabaret, theatre, film and television.
The performer's many accolades include an Order of Australia for Service to the Entertainment Industry, a Centenary Medal for Service to the Arts Community and a Variety Club of Australia Award.
Lamond was born in 1932 in Sydney to comedian Stella Lamond and actor Joe Lawman.
She started her professional career aged 10, when she sang on the radio.
During her career, she starred in numerous Australian theatre productions, including Oliver!, Annie Get Your Gun and My Fair Lady.
Her television credits include Number 96, The Unisexers and The Last Frontier.
She was often a guest on variety and talk shows, including The Graham Kennedy Show, The Mike Walsh Show, The Bert Newton Show and Good Morning Australia.
Lamond's sister, Helen Reddy, who was also a famous singer and actress, died in 2020 aged 78.
