Found Deceased CA - Patricia "Paty" Alatorre, 13, Bakersfield, 1 Jul 2020 *ARREST*

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old girl who was last seen getting into a white pickup truck on Thursday morning.

Brisa Torres was last seen at approximately 11:15 a.m. in the 9000 block of Mendocino Drive near Calloway Drive and Brimhall Road, according to a BPD news release early Monday. The vehicle she entered was described as a white single-cab Chevrolet pickup truck.

Torres is described as a Hispanic female, 5-feet, 5-inches tall, 125 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a happy face tattoo on her left ankle. She was last seen wearing a burgundy hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

The day after Patricia went missing another sixteen year old went missing also, Brisa Torres. Note the description of the vehicle!!

I lived in Bakersfield for a minute in the 90's so some of these streets sounded familiar to me.

Paty last seen July 1 11:30pm near Hosking and Wible in a white pickup. LE now considering her deceased. Odd wording.

Brisa last seen July 2 11:15am, less than 12 hours later getting into a white pickup in the 9000 block of Mendocino Drive.

I hope they're not related and Brisa is fine, at a friends, something, safe, and okay.

Although I do not believe in the Death Penalty, and in California, only 13 people that have received the Death Penalty since 1977 have been executed, I've always felt it is a good bargaining tool for the DA in a case like this, or in the case of a serial killer. (If he's not one)
IE. Tell us where the body is, and we'll give you life instead of death.

it was a white older chevy silverado whereas Cruz had a white ford ranger.

UPDATE: Police arrest Inglewood man for murder, sexual assault in connection to missing 13-year-old girl now considered deceased
Armando Cruz, 24, wore a mask as he appeared in court on charges that could land him in prison for life if he’s convicted. He’s accused of killing Patricia Alatorre, who went missing July 1 in the area of Hosking Avenue and Wible Road.

On Sunday, police said law enforcement had located and seized a vehicle that matched the description of a white pickup seen in the area around the time of Alatorre’s disappearance. They detained a man, and Cruz was interviewed and arrested on suspicion of killing Alatorre.

Police have said they consider Alatorre deceased but have released no further information.

Omg this is very bad - and I agree there must be pictures since they have no body and he has pled not guilty so no confession? @gitana1 @riolove77 is it possible to confess then retract and plead not guilty? The charges are very specific IMO especially the “011 F PC 287(B)(2) ”?

Argh. Saw these updates as I was waving our youngest off to socially-distanced sports practice. So sorry for PA and all those who knew and loved her. She was a kid -- a kid! I'm guessing there's a pretty detailed SM/ media trail they followed to catch him and hopefully now convict him. Awful.

Yes. It happens all the time. Someone confessed and then says they were coerced.
