Circumstances of Disappearance
Paul Stooksberry was last seen by his family on April 12, 2001 and has not had any contact with friends or family since that time. Paul was attending CSU Hayward (CSUEB California State University, East Bay) prior to his disappearance and did not complete his studies at that time. He closed all of his bank accounts and did not provide a forwarding address to his landlord. Prior to his disappearance, he spoke to family members of possibly traveling to Cairo, Egypt on a religious mission. It was confirmed that he had entered Egypt sometime in 2001, but he has not been heard or seen since.

Details of Disappearance​

Stooksberry last spoke to his family on April 12, 2001. He was a student at California State University, East Bay campus in the city of Hayward at the time of his disappearance. He closed all his bank accounts and left without leaving a forwarding address.

Before he went missing, Stooksberry had spoken of possibly going to Egypt on a religious mission. Authorities determined he did enter Egypt sometime in 2001, but his whereabouts after that are unknown. His case remains unsolved.
