There was a rumor that answered that question, but I could never find an acceptable source for it.

Maybe I can speculate that someone alarmed by his behavior called, and LE put two and two together.

I guess how LE made that connection is for them to know at this point. This link states by 8:15 that morning LE already had Castro in mind, as they called her sister to inform her of this terrible situation and asked if she or Pearl knew Castro. Which she said no. Interesting also, was that Pearl was experiencing some bullying from some girls and was afraid about it. Other points - Castro lived very close, attended same school prior, nothing on Pearls phone connected them to each other, and LE claimed at 8:15 that it was Pearls blood thru DNA. Which I find very rapid. I do know about rapid DNA tests, but not well informed on it.
Anyway, prayers for Pearl, this is horrifying. I think it should be made public if DNA was found in the Saturn though. Hoping for some leads here .....very sad

Absolutely, IF they KNEW the vehicle. That's still not clear. LE stated there was a delay in the Amber alert because they didn't know a vehicle was involved. Pearl was kidnapped Wed. Am, by evening they named Castro. The Amber alert came Thursday.
I'm just curious to how the original ID of Castro was made Wed.?

"Pearl was last seen around 7 a.m. Wednesday on the pedestrian over-crossing above Interstate 780 that leads from Home Acres to Taylor Avenue in Vallejo, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office said. A witness told investigators Pearl was being dragged by Castro. Her face was bleeding and she was calling for help, the sheriff’s office said. The witness told investigators that Castro had a gun. As the witness left the area to get help, the person heard what sounded like a gunshot. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found blood on the ground. However, it is unclear if Pearl was shot."


According to the very first reports, Castro was named by the witness. Also, either side of the over-crossing has side streets. He was obviously parked nearby. Kiids were walking or driving (or parents were) to school, other adults may have been heading to work, sitting at their table drinking coffee, whatever. It's extremely likely that between the shooting and her screaming for help that they were seen. I didn't find it readily but I distinctly remember reading that she was dragged "into the car" as well. I might be remembering that part wrong on that because I read so many cases.

I have been having nightmares about Pearl Pinson's and Sierah Joughin's cases (and Rebecca Watts). They've really affected me and made me scared (paranoid) a little bit.

ive always been curious how much blood was found on the ground.

if she had a cut from being hit or pistol whipped, I would think it would just run down her face but not necessarily hit the ground, or if so just droplets. a puddle would indicate she was injured more seriously (like shot). also they never REALLY verified what was found in the car just that she was not in it. or am I mistaken?

If he knocked her down, she could have cut her head or her mouth on the pavement. A wound like that can spread quite a lot of blood without being very serious.

Most of her posts are religious in nature, but has a dark side. To start with one of her profile pictures is Atlas with the world on his shoulders- She feels like she has a heavy burden she’s challenged with. Another profile picture is a photo from the movie, “The Last Witch Hunter.” Still heavy burden. But it’s her posts that are telling. (Please message me if you’d like the source, because I don’t want to get her in trouble) She says that they’re not sorry for the rape and murder of thousands. She will never go to their churches because they rape and murder children, and lastly… She states she lives with a child molesting murderer.

• So, who does she live with? I looked it up. He's a convict, drug addict, with a LONG rap sheet. They live in Texas, but ALL of his family is spread out all around Pearl. Some of who are on the Megan’s law website. What’s more? Is that they bought a house, brand new, $300k... HERE, the bank’s name is on the deed until you’re finished paying your mortgage. There is no bank name associated to this house. Where does a crack head and a single mother, that’s gone mad, get $300k?

• I thought it was a murder/suicide with an ex boyfriend… But PC’s social media changed my mind, this might have to do with trafficking after all. She said, “Green African ties, little purple pill next to him is a joker. She was crying out for help. Her eyes are that of a holy clan. That's why. Now where and who? Not sure yet.” “Green African ties” He has ties in Africa that have a lot of money. “Little Purple Pill” is commonly known in the street as morphine in pill form. They could’ve used it to subdue Pearl. “Next to him is a joker.” It’s Pearl. She’s wearing her backpack. “Her eyes are that of a holy clan.” She’s a light eyed, white girl. “That’s why.” She was targeted.
• Castro was just a mule. He was inexperienced, and took too long to get it done, that’s why it was sloppy, haphazard, and in the daylight. My guess is that someone else was waiting, took her in their car, and headed south. Castro headed north, and in all kinds of directions as a decoy.

I saw the PC comment a couple of weeks ago. It didnt make any sense to me at the time, but you have some good ideas here on what it all may mean. The comment is gone now for some reason, but I certainly do remember it because of how odd it seemed.

I still see it too. Another thing I found peculiar? I ran a background check on Castro, and it came up clean. I thought his picture was a mugshot, but it could be his driver's license photo.

Odd isn't it.....this link, the sheriff states he was on probation out of Contra Costra county for robbery.

I've known my background checker to be off before, but usually it's because the arrested filed a "Not Guilty" plea and their case hasn't been called yet. But you never know.

LE did state he was on probation, so to me that means he was sentenced.....not a pending case. He was 19, so maybe nothing comes up in a background check because he may have been a minor, under 18....when his crime of robbery occurred. I can't seem to find online criminal records in this county, like I can for others. I only found civil court cases on line for that county. He is a ghost ....nothing on the internet, no SM that I can find. Strange
