Just a kid... The older I get, the younger these missing persons seem to look.
Funny you should say that, had been thinking exactly the same thing about myself today!Just a kid... The older I get, the younger these missing persons seem to look.
We've got one more exclusion as of this posting from Richmond, VA so someone is actively comparing DNA on this case. Perhaps there's something about Sonoma County Jane Doe that makes them certain it can't be her, since yes according to Doe Network DNA is available? Is it perhaps because Peggy went missing in 1974 and they believe that SCJD passed in 1976 and they find that unlikely? SCJD currently has no comparisons in NamUs so I'm wondering if perhaps Doe Network is incorrent.Peggy's NamUs profile was modified on 5/6/22. She is still only showing 3 exclusions.

From link..I see a resemblance. I know it's a long shot, but if Peggy was hitchhiking, she could have ended anywhere. According to Charley Project, she was wearing a a blue scoop-neck shirt with white buttons and four white buttons found near the remains of Irondequoit Jane Doe. And their front teeth look similar. The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Hi Burblestein, Sonoma County resident since the big bang. It should be noted that the ice arena, and Coddingtown were the ONLY places for young people under 18 to hang out in the '70's. In the early '80's Santa Rosa Plaza was built, which was a true mall as we think of malls today. Coddingtown in the '70's was not an enclosed mall. It was open air. There were 3 stores, Macy's, The Emporium, and JC Penny's. The Ice arena has been there as long as I can remember. There was also a Movie theater there.MountainMama makes an excellent point about Coddingtown Mall. I would like to add that Snoopy's Home Ice is directly across Steele Lane from the the Mall. This ice rink is a social center for teens. Maureen Sterling and Maureen Weber were in the rink before leaving to hitchhike and vanish. It would not be surprising if other SRHHM victims hung out at the rink. Unfortunately, the rink could have been a "honey pot" for sexual predator(s).
