Penny Sue Coyle was last seen at the Roundhouse Bar on East Lodi Avenue in Lodi on Thursday, 13 August 1981. Her car was found in the parking lot. Her body was found 16 August 1981.

On 08/16/1981, at approximately 1654 hours, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of dead body floating in the waterway off of Bishop Cut, in the area of Eight Mile Rd. / Rio Blanco Rd., in Stockton Ca.

Deputies arrive and located a deceased female victim, later identified as (V) Penny Sue Coyle, in the waterway.

Coyle was last seen leaving at the Roundhouse Bar on 08/14/1981 at approximately 0205 hours, in Lodi Ca.

Coyle was reported missing to Lodi Police Department on 08/15/1981, after Coyle failed to return home after two days.
