We are asking for the community’s help in locating an at-risk missing juvenile, 9-year-old Phoemela Miranda (photo below).

Phoemela was last seen on Sunday, March 17, 2019, around 4:30 p.m at her residence (9700 block of Bashkir Court). Family later returned home around 6:30 p.m. and Phoemela was not home. Phoemela has been upset about being put on restriction. Phoemela Miranda is considered at risk due to her age.

Phoemela is described as an Asian female juvenile, 4'0", 80 lbs., with shoulder length black hair and black eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray colored leggings. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Phoemela Miranda is asked to contact the Elk Grove Police Department Dispatch Center at (916) 691-5246.

So, she (9)was left home alone while the rest of the family went out? She was on restriction? What for and what else was the punishment?

I hope so too. I'd also hope that if that's the case, they'd let her parents know she is ok.

There is what appears to be a walking trail behind the houses. It looks like it connects with a sidewalk all the way to the big shopping / restaurant area. Should be lots of cameras there. I wonder if she had a cell phone. Maybe the neighbors have cameras they may be able to see her walking by.

If she is not at a friends house hiding out you might go to the shopping area or to one of the parks which seem to be in walking distance.

You would be thinking I need to get somewhere safe and warm.

Where might she go?

Elk Grove Police Dept. - on their Facebook page, they’ve posted in the comments the quote below. They must be letting the residents in the area know so they are not alarmed at such a heavy police presence.
“UPDATE- EGPD along with the assistance of Elk Grove-Galt Cert (Community Emergency Response Team) and #SacPD air unit, will be searching the area west of Hwy 99 for at-risk missing 9-year-old Phoemela Miranda. She is described as an Asian female juvenile, 4'0", 80 lbs., with shoulder length black hair and black eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray colored leggings. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Phoemela Miranda is asked to us (916) 691-5246.”
