How sad. This should be a wonderful day of celebration for Phuong and her family.

I think if she'd gone shopping there would be evidence of that in the car. Have we heard from anyone at the gym, as maybe she went there before going to B&N?

And as far as the witness, I wonder how sure they are that it was her they saw? We know she was not seen on camera in B&N although the camera was not trained on the customers, of course, but on the employees...theft is so much more important than safety of customers...I'm just wondering if she was ever in there at all...seems like more than one person would have seen her, employees, etc...

I never have paid attention to surveillance inside B&N, but if she was in the coffee shop area, maybe there aren't cameras there ~ but in other parts of the store there are, i.e. to catch shoplifters? It could be she didn't go into the store itself? Just wondering!

Suisun City Woman's Disappearance Still A Mystery

The car was unlocked and the keys were missing, but police found Phuong Le's cell phone, wallet and backpack inside the car, police said.

Investigators were able to confirm that Le had been at the bookstore between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. before she disappeared. She is a nursing student at Solano Community College and spent most of her evenings at the bookstore studying, police said.

Dadisho said investigators have not found anyone who would want to harm Le and neither her family nor her friends know of any boyfriends or romantic issues she might have been involved in.

Going by what was said on Nancy's show last night, she'd graduated, had just passed her state board and the items were in the car trunk.

LEE: Car was found -- it`s a `97 Honda Accord, white, in the parking lot of the Fairfield Mall, where Barnes & Noble is located. And of course, the brother, Huong Le, found her cell phone and backpack in the trunk of the car. So the car`s there, no signs of the sister.

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: These are pictures taken of Le back at her graduation from nursing school back in December. Friends say Le was looking for a job and was celebrating passing her boards just a couple of weeks ago.

I wonder if she had a laptop with her? I never heard it mentioned ... so probably not, but just wondering if she did. It's hard to tell, if you see someone on a laptop, if they're studying or surfing the internet.

I agree, pretty common to see laptop in coffee shops and B and N. LE is checking Phuong's computer....

How do some of the women vanish without a trace!! Like the poster said above, it was a very busy warm night at that Mall. I personally feel like this wasn't random but someone Phoung knew or recognized from the gym, B and N or work/college scenario. IMO

I know it seems to happen frequently but I just can't understand how adults can vanish like this without anyone seeing anything disturbing
makes me not want to go anywhere alone

she appears to be tiny and I really think she was targeted and abducted

I hope she can escape and come home safely

here is another birthday tribute but nothing else more to add to the case. please let them be working this harder than they did from the start ((when they did NOTHING)). 48 hour lapse.. than they get going.. and now all they put out is that it is her birthday. I hope they are doing more and anything and everything they can. AND TRUST ME.. I TRIED TO USE POLITE WORDS!!!! WHERE IS PHUONG LE? WHERE IS SHE?

not to add where is the freaking media coverage.... I will hold off further 'tehan' comments until the media continues to not cover her case. If a few more days go by all bets are off.

I think it is someone that knows her. Someone that is either 'close to the family' as in the Armenian Hollywood murders I have been following or it is someone she knows from school, or it is an employee from the bookstore who has watched her for the last couple of years. I don't think it is a total stranger.

I'm in Fairfield. My boyfriend and I passed by Solano Community College a couple hrs ago. That's where Phuong took her nursing classes. There was a vigil being held and several news trucks were there. The media has been reporting it locally but 4 babies just died in a fire here so that is the hot topic around this area.

Praying for her safe return.

Has anyone heard if the sister has given any comments to media?

Le was very close to her family and dedicated herself to becoming a nurse in part so she could help provide for them, friends said. As such, she was unlikely to have runaway, friends and family said.

Vigil Held On Birthday Of Missing Woman

“When Phuong graduated from nursing program, she came to my office with a thank you card, a simple card, thanking me for the opportunity to be a nurse,” said Maire Morinec, dean of Solano Community College’s nursing school.

Her loved ones say Phuong was down to earth, and put family first.

“We're afraid for her every day, ma'am, we miss her and we pray for her and we thank everybody who prays for her,” said Phuong Duc Le, Le’s sister.
Phuong’s close-knit family at the vigil expressed gratitude and determination to find her, even after five long days.

“Please keep your hope strong, do not give up, because I believe that Phuong is somewhere out there,” said Huong Le.
