She is still not on the NCMEC California list....sigh.

I had some comms with NCMEC in Sept 2020 about another unlisted child case. They wrote back to me and said only LE can have a UID child listed with them, the public can't initiate a listing.

Thanks for the information @Melt71 I would think they can initiate a listing, being advocates for missing children, by calling LE. If somebody brought a non listed child under my attention I wouldn't leave it just like that, but undertake action. Or is that just how I'm wired?

How about Julie Elizabeth Soracco? She disappeared from the neighbouring county, El Dorado County, in the late 70s (not necessarily 1977, as her half-sister explains in Julie's WS thread, linked further down this post). A bit off on the date, but as NamUs states:

Details of Disappearance
The circumstances of Julie's disappearance are very unclear; even the date is unknown. She was last seen sometime in 1977 or 1978; some agencies give the date of disappearance as August 1, 1977. She attended El Dorado High school at the time of her disappearance.

According to what her family knows, Julie had lived in Sacramento, California with her mother and sisters, then went to live with her grandfather in Placerville, California. After some time, she was placed in foster care and lived with a couple called Aldea. She may have disappeared while walking from her foster family's home to her grandfather's home, or she may have gone missing after leaving to meet a male companion at a pizza restaurant.

It's unclear whether a missing persons report was filed at the time, and Julie's grandfather did not want her case to be publicized. Her disappearance was rarely discussed within her family. Julie was reported missing in July 2019, over forty years after she was last seen. The circumstances of her disappearance are unclear, bout foul play is possible.

Due to the silence in her family, Julie wasn't reported missing until just recently, then by her half-sister, who was only a young child at the time Julie went missing, so no wonder the date is estimated. The memories too can be a bit hazy.

And there are no identifiers. Proof me wrong; LE didn't put this child on the NCMEC California list.... still.

I wonder if they still have these remains or if they are "lost."
Her NamUs Case is UP6298.
There is some contact information on NamUs (a case owner, a case contributer, a NamUs contact).
Maybe they feel there is just nothing more that can be done for this case?
But someone somewhere has been missing this teenage girl since the 1980's.

No public ones that would fit in the past couple of months.
There was an older case removed last Monday, Patricia Demarco from NV, but she was 45 when she went missing in 1981, and I think she was identified as another Doe.
