Has anyone considered Christine Lee Boggio? Only a few miles and a couple days difference though, so it'd be strange if she wasn't one of the first people to be considered. Could still be related though (interstate serial killer etc, wonder if one was operating around there at the time!)

There are discrepancies in info on Deborah Kay Johnson's case files on different sites,

Deborah Kay Johnson - Charley Project
Deborah Kay Johnson - Namus
Deborah Kay Johnson - DoeNetwork

yet still I believe this to be a possible match to consider for the following reasons:

1. Her height is listed as anywhere between 5'0 and 5'4.
2. She went missing anywhere between June 11, 1992 and July 4, 1992 (aligns with DN file est death).
3. She went missing less than 40 miles from location of Jane Doe (either from San Leandro or Alameda).
3. While her age is the upper end of the Jane Doe, it is within the age range.
4. She is described as having an abdominal scar, which may align the complete hysterectomy on the Jane Doe.
5. She is described as having a "covered-up tattoo of a butterfly on her lower abdomen in the pelvic bone area" (Charleyproject file). I don't know what this means exactly with regards to a shaved pubic area (as noted on the Jane Doe), hair growing back after a tattoo on the pubic bone, or given the state of the body a tattoo would be visible. I will note she had other tattoos as well, but again, I don't know what was evident on the body and there was no specific mention of even a hysterectomy scar (the Jane Doe had a complete hysterectomy).
6. I see physical resemblance between the reconstruction and photo as provided on Ms. Johnson. Hard features, distances between all look pretty good to me. The chin does appears to be longer on the Jane Doe reconstruction but not significant enough imo to notfurther review. I did remove the color from the photo on Ms. Johnson in the snapshot I'm providing below.

Something eerie is the disappearance of Christine Lee Boggio who disappeared 3 days before the body was found and was last seen in Vallejo, California, 15 minutes away from the body. The only reason why I'm unsure is because Doe Network stated that the body was in "Advanced decomposition." Also, the website states that the body had a "Complete hysterectomy." I could not find anything that said Christine had a hysterectomy on NamUs or The Charley Project.

I've found 4 women who I think have a good chance at being our Jane Doe.

Deborah Kay Johnson: Abdominal scar, surgery, some freckles. Pink Rose on right breast, butterfly covered up around pelvic bone. ears, double pierced. Johnson was last seen in San Leandro, California on June 11, 1992. She has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case.

Arisoneide Oliveira Gosselin: 12-inch abdominal scar. Arisoneide was last seen by a friend driving her car near her home at 2:00PM on 05/28/92. Later that day, Arisoneide was nowhere to be found. The house was locked, and her car was in the garage, but there was no sign of her. Her keys, purse, cash, checks, credit cards and all of her clothing was still in the home.

Christine Lee Boggio: Christine Boggio was 26 years old, was last heard from on May 30, 1993, in Vallejo, California. Christine went to the store and never returned. (She doesn't have any scars listed on NamUs or Charley Project but the proximity in where she went missing and where this Jane Doe was found is concerning in my opinion)

Sherie Ann Graves: Vertical scar on her back. Circular scar on her right knee. Cesarean section scar on her abdomen.
Graves was last seen at a motel in Modesto, California on May 1, 1988. Her mother reported her missing in 1992. Graves and her husband lived in various trailer parks and motels in the Modesto area.

I emailed Contra Costa County Homicide Unit, will update if I get a response.

Interesting. Do you get notifications when cases are removed? Are there any missing persons cases also removed ?
Unfortunately I can’t create an account on Namus so I don’t get notifications, I have some spreadsheets that I try to update daily. I was curious about that, if people tracking a case on NamUs get a notification when the profile is removed..
I am not on my computer at the moment, but I know I checked for MP profiles from California that had been removed and there wasn’t one that would fit. There was, however, a solved case from Cali for which I couldn’t track the profile removed. This can happen if a case is added and subsequently removed in the time since my last check (not really something I would attribute to California, IME), or if the case removed was not public in the first place. This is all speculation on my part, based on my experience tracking Namus in the past year or so..

Fantastic! Have any missing women's pages been removed?
None from California if I remember well. I don’t remember if any MPs from other states could have been a match, I‘ll have to check those a bit later, when I get on my computer.

There was a MP case from California that was removed in the same time frame, but it was either hidden from public view or a new case that was added and removed by the time I got to check.
