308 Ellery St in Brooklyn has apartments, building was built in 1931, so was there in ‘76. maybe this is was the paper is referring to and the street was misspelled. this makes me think it wasn’t the deceased’s address but someone else’s that he wrote down, maybe?

Frank S Passafiume? Fits the description, Went missing from NY a month prior.
NY - NY - Frank Passafiume, Brooklyn, 14 April 1976
Link to his thread
I think this looks like a promising match, honestly. When I was googling Frank I saw that his son actually replied to a thread on here before trying to get some answers. I'm going to send him a message and see if he's even still active on here. It doesn't look like it, but maybe getting a message notification will bring him back. He said that he and some other family members have submitted DNA, so I think this is a good one to submit. Even if it's not a match it can at least be an exclusion!

I saw in another thread posted about Frank that at the time he went missing, he was living at 244 Troutman St in Brooklyn, NY. Not that this confirms anything significant, but it would match up with my theory that it may be a misspelled address of another person on the paper that was found on the body.

I think it should be submitted, I don't have a namus account or live in the states, but anyone who has one should go ahead and submit it.

How close is that to where the body was found?

OMG!!! I was thinking it was Frank the minute I saw this thread. I started Franks thread years ago. I have Never seen this UID!! Omg praying it’s Frank , his son has been on Franks thread!!! Still looking !!!

@phantomstrider
Thanks for making this thread you rock! I have spent so long looking for unidentified from the 1970’s here in NYC but there are none listed ever just like missing persons barely any which is odd too. I wonder who has finally been looking through old files and listing . Again thanks!!!!

Your welcome. I just saw the UID as one of the newer cases added to Namus and decided to post it here since I didn't find a thread here for the UID.

right?? so odd that this doe from '76 JUST got added to namus this month. if this does end up being frank i hope it helps the family get some closure and some answers. if it isn't him, we're at least a step closer to this doe getting his name back!
