Found Deceased CA - Raymond Tyler, 38, found deceased in Willits, 5 Aug 2023

I thought I'd share this link since I was wondering if family could reopen a suicide case if you suspect murder. I'm thinking @Klingon has autopsy & toxicology reports, as well as the police report. I also know she has info that's making it hard for her to fathom that her brother died by suicide. Perhaps that info would be enough to reopen Raymond's case.

I have reached out the the local LE about his investigation, and never received a response back.

Yes, but herein lies the problem. He went to a friends place and did it there, in their backyard.. left his shoes on the front porch and the friend claimed there wouldnt be any reason to think he would be there, in such close proximity to her home… it seems off to me. Imo
I don't disagree with you, but I also don't know enough of the details to form any sort of opinion. I just wanted to point out that the potential for suicide shouldn't be entirely dismissed just based on location. Either way, I hope his friends and family find the answers they need.

First and foremost, I'm very sorry for your loss, and the way it's been handled thus far. While nothing can bring your brother back, I hope you get the answers you seek. :)

Question.... Has LE questioned her and others that live there? Any idea why he'd have been dropped off there? Did he know them? I wonder if he asked to be dropped off there or if that's where the driver decided to drop him off.

Lastly, Uh huh... without his shoes. </end sarcasm>
Law enforcement did minimal questioning of Her and no questioning of the other residents. Ray was given a ride by his neighbor to her house. That was where he asked to go. The man that dropped him off stated he was carrying his hatchet and work boots. So yes I believe there were two sets of shoes. However he went on to say Ray had no backpack with him and he saw no gun just the hatchet.

@Klingon I know it's probably too early to have results back but did they indicate that they took/were able to take samples for toxicology?
I don't have the results yet. was only able to get the preliminary report over the phone i will be requesting the full report.

I don't have the reports in hand yet but am going to request them.

I'm sorry that you lost someone that you really care about. :( Can I ask who he was to you? You absolutely do not have to answer if you do not want to. Seems like you could get verified yourself if you knew him. :)

I had meant to check on him, the last time we spoke. He had been saying very odd things on his facebook page.. the last time i saw him, he was walking into town. I gave him a little honk, and a wave. Had i known. I would have stopped and taken him with me. That was around the 27-28th of july.

Does that go against the rules?

I just have to say... what a GREAT smile! It literally had me smiling back at my monitor in response which caught me by surprise as I don't normally sit here smiling at my computer!
