February 2015:

Three men suspected in the homicide of an Army specialist from Victorville last year tried to kill him a few days before he was fatally shot, sheriff's officials said.

Investigators arrested Thomas Bradshaw, 23, of Apple Valley on Monday on suspicion of attempted murder because he allegedly helped two men in an attempted shooting of 31-year-old Daniel Yarbrough about a week before Yarbrough was killed, authorities said Wednesday.

Wesley Swank, 26, and Logan Swank, 20, have already pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted-murder charges in Yarbrough's death.

May 2015:

Swank, 28, and his brother Logan Swank, 21, were ordered to stand trial for the murder last year of Yarbrough, who had been stationed with a unit in Barstow and was shot twice and killed in his vehicle Sept. 29 outside an apartment complex in Apple Valley.

The Swank brothers and their brother-in-law Thomas Bradshaw, 23, also were held to stand trial on two counts of attempted murder from a drive-by shooting Sept. 17 on Jackrabbit Lane in Victorville. Authorities say that was the brothers' first attempt to kill Yarbrough as he sat in an idle vehicle with a friend. Bradshaw is accused of driving the getaway vehicle.

November 2015:

Two of the three arrested in the connection with the murder of National Guard soldier, 31-year-old Daniel Yarbrough on Sept. 29, 2014 have been convicted. The motive of the murder, the collection of a life insurance policy that one of the three men, 29-year-old Wesley Swank made himself the beneficiary to.

On Tuesday, November 24th the younger of two brothers arrested for the murder of Yarbrough, 21-year-old, Logan Swank was convicted of both the attempted murder and the murder...

Wesley Swank, who like Yarbrough was also a Ft. Irwin soldier, is facing both murder and attempted murder charges...

Thomas Bradshaw, 24 during a October 7th hearing, as part of a plea bargain changed his not guilty plea on two charges of attempted murder pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of permitting another to shoot from a vehicle...

Bradshaw is due to be sentenced on January 8, 2016 at the Victorville Superior Court and Logan Swank is due for sentencing on February 19, 2016.
