CA CA - Robin Graham, 18, Los Angeles, 14 Nov 1970

  • #61
I don't remember seeing hardly any 20 year old Corvettes in 1970 but I live in Illinois so I don't know about CA. Just as a rough guess, I would say that fewer the half the buyers went for the liftoff hardtop. Actually there were 3 choices when you ordered - soft top only, removable hardtop only or you could also get a car with both.

Not significant to this case but to clarify, I think if you got either the hard top or the soft top they were included in the base price but if you chose both then they tacked on something like an extra $400.

Since her car stalled on the freeway I think someone abducted her and I also think that since he abducted her from the freeway and hasn't been found that he was probably a transient or a truck driver and maybe abducted other girls from the freeway and killed them as well.

I don't know if you guys believe in astrology, but this is WORTH reading. The woman who does these posts does a wonderful job and has been doing forensic astrology for years. She takes the date, time and location of a crime and looking to astrology, she figures out the who, what etc of the crime. If you guys need interpretations you can ask. I'm not as good of an astrologer as her, but I have three years under my belt.

I agree and if that is what indeed happened to Robin then there is a very low chance this crime will ever be solved. Still interesting to read about but tragic and frustrating at the same time.

the person who drove up and who Robin got in the car with was not a trucker-they weren't driving a truck. I read that forensic astrology thing on Robin and other people she has done charts for-I am a believe in astrology, but I think that woman is full of it.

What year Corvette did Bruce Davis have? I can't find it stated anywhere nor can I find a picture of it.

Who's Bruce Davis?

I have no faith that Bruce was involved.

Bumping for Robin. May her fate be known soon.

I hope so. I have a feeling she is somewhere in the Hollywood Hills.

Hi, Scriptgirl. Is your feeling based on an intuition ( I do respect and believe in intuition) or is it based on something tangible? Thanks.

According to this site, Davis would have been available to commit this crime although I don't find him too good a suspect.

He has also been suggested as a Zodiac suspect but, as per this source, he was not in the country when the Faraday/Jensen murders occurred.

He was on the run at the time of robins disappearance?

I don't think this was Zodiac or Manson related.

Would anyone have an explanation/theory for why Robin isn't in the NamUs database?

I agree. Bruce Davis,Manson, Zodiac, all long shots. Graham's case only mentioned in relation to Zodiac, because possible Victims of his were attacked after offering to help them with their 'car trouble'.

In 1970 In Vantura CA, not super close to Graham, Cindy Lee Mellin was abducted and presumed killed. Witnesses saw a man helping her change her tire, and the car was found up on a jack. Closer examination showed the tire had been deliberately punctured. Crimes like these may be worth looking into for possible connections

I have been trying to understand why Robin would have accepted a ride from a stranger in the wee hours of the morning, especially when she knew her parents were on their way to help her. I'm thinking maybe she was acquainted with him, perhaps only slightly. She was so very young and therefore most likely very naiive.. Somehow this creep was able to persuade her to get into his car. Maybe he said he was a police officer and she was not allowed to remain in the car. Maybe he said he would take her to a safer spot where her parents would still be able to locate her. Sociopaths have a strange way of luring vulnerable people. It's odd, though, that he got her car started for her yet she left with him anyway.

He could have known her, or appeared to look harmless, or trustworthy
