Missing Bakersfield man’s vehicle found in Watsonville

WATSONVILLE >> A 24-year-old former UC Santa Cruz has been reported missing and medically at risk after his car was found abandoned in Watsonville, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said. Ryan Johnathon Jacobs' family reported him missing from his home in Bakersfield Aug. 26, said Santa Cruz County sheriff's Sgt. Kelly Kent. Oct. 9, deputies found Jacobs' white 2012 Toyota Yaris hatchback abandoned in a residential area on the 100 block of Riverside Drive in Watsonville, Kent said. Deputies searched the area that day but didn't find him. The Toyota was locked and authorities did not find the keys, Kent said. Residents in the area told authorities the Toyota was parked there for two months.
