A woman who was arrested while transporting a trash can containing body parts was convicted of murder Friday in the death of her ex-boyfriend.

San Bernardino resident Carmen Montenegro, also known as Carmen Montelongo, is scheduled to return to West Valley Superior Court in Rancho Cucamonga on Sept. 29 for sentencing, according to the court’s web site.

A Riverside woman who fatally stabbed her boyfriend 24 times and dismembered him was sentenced to 26 years in state prison on Monday.

Carmen Montelongo, 54, was convicted on Aug. 29 for first-degree murder of her 62-year-old boyfriend, Samuel Wiggins, in 2011...

A self-proclaimed white supremacist who's engaged to a Southern California killer who was found with her boyfriend's body parts in a trash bin has been given 248 years in prison for kidnapping, assault and witness intimidation. The San Bernardino Sun says Thomas Murphy of Crestline was sentenced Thursday.

Prosecutors say he forced a woman into a home and beat two women with a hammer in 2009 while looking for his girlfriend...

The Sun says court records show Murphy's engaged to Carmen Montelongo.
