On Saturday, April 29, at approximately 6:42 p.m., hikers on the Cougar Crest Trail in the San Bernardino National Forest on the North Shore of Big Bear Lake located human skeletal remains a short distance off the trail.
Deputies from the Big Bear Sheriffs Station responded and confirmed the remains were human.
With all the remains they find on hiking trails it really makes me never want to go hiking again. It does make you wonder if it was dumped, or if the victim was hiking and got attacked? Maybe just died of natural causes. I've also never been to CA, so I have no idea what kind of terrain this is.
