San Francisco Fire Department personnel arrived at Lake Merced's west shore, located about 650 feet north of Harding Drive. From this locationthe subject was noted face down in the water, near the shore, and down an approximate 15 foot embankment. Fire personnel had to cutaway dense brush and grass to make their way down the the steep embankment. Paramedics made contact with thesubject and confirmed death present at 1510 hours. She was dressed in a sweater, two shirts, athletic pants, underpants, shoes, and socks. No jewelry or property was secured. External examination revealed the remains to be cold to the touch with lividity indiscernible and rigor mortis absent. Jennifer Lauria asked her family to drive her to a Greyhound station in Florida sometime in 2015. Whereabouts are unknown after that. Could've taken a bus to Cali? A similar case is that of Evelyn Cruz-Oro. She also went to a bus stop (in early 2014) and disappeared.

Either way, the clothing to me indicates that Doe was in colder climates when she died. Of course, the lake is close enough to the shoreline that it'll be windy no matter the time of year. Personally, when I visited San Fran in May, I wore jeans, a t-shirt, and brought a windbreaker. It wasn't so cold that I wanted to wear three layers. That makes me think she died in the fall/winter months.

Well, imagine if she had been a homeless person, in that situation you age much faster.

Could be, though harsh conditions rarely affect melanin production. Condition of her teeth would be a better indicator

I am unsure if she really was homeless. Only hint would be the double layer shirt but it is not too obvious in this case
