Circumstances of Recovery: The decedent was an unidentified male of unknown race or residence. Based on preliminary police investigation, on the afternoon hours of a 9/12/2022, an international traveler turned himself over to the United States (U.S.) Border Patrol and informed agents that he saw a body within the Tijuana River as he was crossing. Sometime later, U.S. Border Patrol agents went to the general area where the international traveler indicated and used binoculars to confirm the decedent was within the Tijuana River.
