Pat Brown, Profiler, says she thinks this is a serial killer who is very familiar with the area. From interview on HLM

I guess in the presser yesterday it was said that road going to the pond is not known of by many. You wouldn't even know it was there unless you were a local.

Pat also said this killer will sit low now, hope there is no evidence that will connect him and strike again at a later time. So she says there should be no real worry for the local residents.

Oh, MY! I think Pat has really gone off the deep end on this one, imo. I tend to disagree with her on many cases, but this is a bit much. What on earth is she thinking?!

No one has mentioned the pastor had anyone else living at his address besides on WS. LE have not mentioned anyone. The media/reporters have not mentioned anyone. The neighbors have not mentioned anyone (which I believe they would be the first to bring it up already).

I find this a very slippery slope to go down unless we can find some proof the person was staying with him or has a connection to the church, the case, or anything else besides what popped up on a site which may not be accurate. The person could have lived there a long time ago or not at all. It could be a mistake.

I am taking a deep breath before I say this.... it was a name that came up that people were sleuthing. That is it... I have been here from the start and have not seen slamming of people or anything of that sort. I do not mean to come off as sounding rude. It would not be the first time in a case when sleuthers pick up on something first thru records.

The more I watch the video of sandra skiiping along....the more I think it has been spliced. It seems very jerky at the instant she heads the other way. Is it possible that she stopped perhaps talked to someone or acknowledged someone then turned to go on her way or get away from them?? I hope you all understand what I am trying to say.

She thinks this killer lives in the park, is someone people see every day and would never dream is a killer, and one day he sees this little girl out walking by herself and the opportunity is perfect and he tempts and grabs her. She was asked if it could be the preacher, she said if could, we just don't know at this point. It could be any of these guys that LE is looking at.

PS: She also mentioned it could be a sex predator or SO, and then kind of lumped them with the serial killer idea. Maybe she is inferring that the serial killer could also be a sexual predator. Hope she writes about him on her column today. See you tonight.

I don't want to drag the Cantu family through the mud if we do not have a valid reason to suspect the person. They are victims and should be treated with respect here, imo.

I have not seen any evidence of the Cantu family being treated in a disrespecful manner.

no.... the name associated with preacherman did not have Cantu in his name. Not to mention the connection came about from address searches and could be a glitch (altho it did come up in more than one data base)

True, but his name could be another alias listed, with the Cantu dropped. FBI profiler noted on KRON last night, that perp would have had fixation on victim for a long time, would have been close to the family, and then would have acted out on them at an opportune time.

I'm not sure that this is the same P. M. that some of us were looking at yesterday. I have looked for that particular P.M. extensively and never found any indication that his complete surname would include Cantu.

I never was able to make a definative connection between the P. M . that was being sleuthed yesterday and L. Lawless.

I could go and try to find info on this PMC so that we can rule him out.

I think what SS was trying to suggest (I really can't speak for her but this is what I interpreted) that we must maintain our standard here at WS and not post full names of players that have not been named by LE or Media as a part of the investigation. Also, to make sure we clarify when we are theorizing and supposing about what may or may not have happened in any case.
