Sgt. Sheneman: "This is an aberration" (= no serial killer lurking about)

family of sandra has refused to take direct cash donations, must donate to the foundation.

Thanks from those of us who can't get the feed! The updates are appreciated.

Investigation is a 24 hour operation.

I think Melissa was the girl with the Kia??

Sheneman: No official report of missing luggage at either LE dept. BUT, when asked if they have discussed it in interviews he said "no comment".

Family did not want cash donations to avoid the appearance of profiting off Sandra being missing. (NOTE TO OTHERS: THIS IS HOW YOU ACT WHEN YOUR CHILD IS MISSING/MURDERED)

he also mentioned that sheriff's office deny the " no visible signs of trauma" statement being made by them. Sgt says he was not given any of that info.

Why did you start and stop car searches?

We had no indication it was an abduction. We searched every where in the MHP and we were confident that she was not there.

Presser over.

searched cars for 3 days in and out of MHP. Didn't start searching until Sunday morning.

Did I hear correctly that he stated car searches were started on Sunday?

How refreshing to hear of her family wanting to do the right thing in spite of their grief. I am very impressed by their decision.

in one of the earlier pressers the spokesperson said that they had searched the cars five and six times and were searching the same people over and over and residents were getting frustrated (yes he really said that...it was the other guy who was spokesperson at the time).. and I can remember making the point that what if the 7th time is the time the perp carried something out...

The story talks about the blinds being taken from a home in the MHP.

The cord from a blind??

SPECULATION - I don't know if the blinds is part of this case or not, but if the cord is missing, it could have been used to tie Little Sandra up, both hands and feet, and not necessarily used as a murder weapon.

IMO, the ME told LE what he found so far, and possibly how she died, he's just not saying anything because he doesn't have too. He is going to let everyone sweat until his case is solid, I do believe he knows. IMO

Suziq...yes...they did start searching cars again on Sunday. They were also searching cars down clover road...in one of the news videos it even showed Daniel Cantu being in one of the cars that was pulled over

Thanks for the link...

Have they or did they do a 3:30 presser today ?

To me, the most important thing Sgt. Sheneman said was, "This [Sandra's murder] is an aberration," meaning, I think, that they have a suspect in mind and under 24-7 surveillance, and no serial killer is thus lurking about.
