The Sandra Johnsen Hughes disappearance in Sierra National Forest — StrangeOutdoors.com

The authorities were notified of her car . It was a 3rd party non profit that found the car.
The more I think about this. The more I'm feeling something happened to her before she drove the car from her campsite. Nothing connects. None of this is consistent with the little known about her patterns.
There has been very little media attention. No recent official updates.
I'm hoping she's still alive.

I haven’t seen any type of update since the early August article.

She has been sighted, alive though thinner. I'm wondering if she may have amnesia or something like that. I hope they ramp up the search and that she's found safe soon.

If this is a sighting of Sandra how is she surviving. No mention if she had food or water with her.
Did she create a new campsite near a source of water and has food leftover from her original campsite. Maybe she is surviving on the kindness of strangers but it doesn't appears she made any efforts to seek help from others.

Apparently she has strong wilderness survival skills. She's also reported to be noticeably thinner than she was when she went missing. If she's in some sort of dissociative state, she may not know she needs help -- she may just be surviving day by day. JMO

Worth noting. He car is still at the base of the trail( crash site) has not been towed.
Hoping with the new updates and bow hunting starting, hunters and Hikers are on alert. I'm glad they gave an update.

My guess is...between her survival skills and the generosity of other hikers and campers.

I agree. Even though this is her thing, and she has skills, it seems she may not be aware of her situation. With the vehicle accident and still just roaming around the area like nothing happened. Some sort of dissociative state is correct. MOO.

If she has been sighted, has anyone reported speaking to her? Does she not want to be found or "rescued?" I'm hopeful that a search might be able to locate her based on sightings, simply, if for no other reason, to make sure she's all right. JMO
