SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Four years after the brutal shooting deaths of a young Sacramento father and his infant son, Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies made an arrest in the case.

Deputies arrested Donald Ortez-Lucero Monday morning at a home in Oakland in connection with the 2007 shooting deaths of Sean Paul Aquitania Sr. and his 7-month-old son Sean Paul Jr.

He deserves the death penalty if he's guilty. Unfortunately, it will take about 35 years to actually execute him.

Second arrest made in 2007 killing of father, baby

SAN MATEO (CBS13) — A third suspect was arrested Thursday in connection with the September 2007 murder of a Sacramento man and his infant son.

Shortly after 10 a.m., Sacramento County Sheriff’s homicide detectives arrested 28-year-old Christopher Strong in connection with the shooting deaths of Sean Aquitania and his infant son, Sean, Jr.

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Charges have been dropped against one of the three suspects in the 2007 murder case of a Sacramento man and his seven-month-old son.

Charges against Richard Noguera for the shooting deaths of Sean Aquitania, 21, and Sean Jr. were dropped because of insufficient evidence, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, which declined to comment further, citing the ongoing investigation.

wow - there is a lot more about this case than linked here - or maybe it is at these links posted upthread that have since gone dead.

Glad for the guilty verdict regardless. No one deserves to be killed by any one else no matter what IMO.

The problem is this crime happened in 2007, an arrest wasn't made for about 4 years and here we are 3 years later than that. I do recall when it happened though. This dad with his little toddler just pulled up, was approached by two peeps and forced inside the home, the perps shot and killed the dad then as they ran away, one reached in the car and shot the little one point blank.

IIRCC, this is the case I saw re-enacted whereby a young guy then takes the baby and walks up to a school bus driver and gives her the injured child.

Seconds after killing a 21-year-old father during a suspected home-invasion robbery on Friday, two suspects fired a bullet into the head of the man's 7-month-old son who was seated in a car seat, police said this weekend as they released new details on the case.

Investigators initially reported that the father, Sean Paul Aquitania, was killed inside a home after an attempted robbery and that his infant son, Sean Paul Aquitania Jr., was accidentally caught in the crossfire. But a more thorough investigation throughout the weekend determined that the son had been murdered execution-style in the car seat of his dad's Chevrolet Malibu.

yes, but there is still a bit more... but will sound like victim bashing, which I certainly am not at all. This man and his baby were victims without a doubt and never should have been killed. Just sad that they were where they were (or at the very least that dad chose to bring his son with him that day on that errand) for the reason alleged. (or perhaps not "alleged" as this information was testified about before a judge by LE.
