Does anyone know if media has reported if a rape kit was used after her release? By there being two Hispanic females perps, it is possible that one may not have been used. Just wondering if any confirmation on this. Seems lot a lot of description of her injuries but nothing on this.

Nothing has been mentioned about this. Due to the sensitive nature, I imagine the only way we'd hear about a rape kit or sexual assault would be if SP chose to disclose it or if there is an arrest and we were privy to the charges filed.

The tip number and reward amount should have been discussed and displayed in the interview.
It has been the same reoccurring theme every time he is interviewed..no anger towards who did it or the urgency to find them.

Can you post the link to the raw video of the interview?

(Referring to KP saying Sherri needed quiet and dark)
Another possibility is headaches/migraines. Mine are triggered by a lot of things Sherri must have experienced over the past weeks, including lack of food, anxiety, exhaustion, crying... I have no idea why Sherri would prefer the dark vs. sunlight right now, but I know that when my head is about to explode, quiet and dark are my two best friends. JMO

Migraine/cluster headache was my first thought.

Regarding how far you could drive in 2.5 hours - my 2 cents:

The driver would only spend a minimal amount of driving time on the interstate.
I factored in an average driving time of 50mph. This is probably generous.
(The irregular pattern inside the circle was calculated using the "avoid highways" feature).

Anyway - the more we put our heads together on this, the better it will get, I'll bet ya!

This is something I don't get. Wouldn't two women with covered faces be as frightening as two men? What he said made sense, but that part doesn't seem to fit.

Maybe there were other reasons.

Grabbed your post to quote because it was handy and I've seen this referenced several times, as well.

Agree, however I don't for a minute believe those women were wearing their "masks" when they first pulled over the SUV to kidnap Sherri. I imagine they were wearing other more natural objects that would hide distinguishing feature, e.g. big sunglasses, etc... I think this kidnapping happened very swiftly. In my imagination, after she's abducted and thrown in the back of the SUV & restrained, only then do the women further hide their distinguishing features.

Furthermore, 3 weeks later after being beaten mercilessly, tortured, broken nose, branded & starved..... I doubt I would recall much more about the women I assumed were innocent passengers as I was jogging. I don't believe she EVER saw much of their faces to begin with. She's been able to describe their hair, pierced ears, and eyebrows; the fact that one was older and one was younger and their accents. Considering everything, not too bad, imo.

One thing I'm going to keep in mind as I watch the show is that this was a four hour interview condensed into less than an hour. I imagine there were a lot of things covered that were edited out for one reason or another.

Or community concern... My heart goes out to the Papini Family, as a mother I cannot imagine the pain of being unwillingly separated from my children...
With that being said, I could not help but notice that Mr.Papini did not so much as mention or acknowledge , the other mother Stacey Smart that is also missing. It struck me as odd to say the least,
1. They are in relative close proximity.
2. The timing that both went missing was eerily close.
3. He has experienced first hand the extreme agony and now the joy of his wife's return.
4. In the midst of narrating his families ordeal on a national podium, what a perfect opportunity to at least extend kind thoughts and united hope to that family, if not all families of missing people.
These are my thoughts, my opinions. My family is a member of the "Missing Loved Ones Club", even though it has been over 20 years...
That pain, Those thoughts, that fear, for my children and yours, is never far away...

How do you know he never did? From what I heard, he interviewed for 4 hours with 20/20 and the show condensed all that into an hour episode with commercials. KP was not the only interview either. Besides, Sherri has been home a little more than week and the news is asking about their experiences, not other missing cases. I would not expect a family this fresh from the rollercoaster of losing and finding their missing loved one (and she was beaten and tortured and the perps are still at large) to immediately reach out to other families. There will be plenty of time for them to offer support to other families after they heal. They have barely had any time to recover from their own ordeal. For some people, it would be suspect if they had the strength to suddenly start helping others right away. JMO.

I think I may of missed something. Why is David Lohr's latest article being questioned ?

Well, because he claimed that a Sheriff's Department spokeswoman told him that they were not ruling out a hoax. The Sheriff says they don't have a spokeswoman, and the Sheriff's Department does not believe it's a hoax.

That means that David <modsnip> Lohr was duped by some troll claiming to be a spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Department. Either way, I'm not going to believe anything he writes in the future.

Im not worried for myself. But I remain -unapologetically- curious how SP was abducted. All signs are she is a safety savvy lady, one tough mama as her Pinterest board said. Ah well someday we may know, or not.

I think we are all curious as to how this situation happened and evolved. Many of us are safety savvy and/or tough until we are confronted by a situation. The element of surprise, not trusting our gut, and our brains not kicking into gear when we need it are real factors in violence based situations.

I know that the common safety knowledge is to never go to a second location. It makes sense. That said, I am not sure how many people have the cool head to make a choice that might mean death.

I hope we find out what happened as others will learn. I am not sure we will.

Do people get paid for shows like 20/20, dateline etc? Just curious.

Or maybe the radio was on in the vehicle?
It would have to be an English one for me to understand what time it was.

Wouldn't it be Spanish speaking radio if that is what they mostly spoke.

There's bank clocks etc...

Another important question might be how long the drive was to drop her off.

MOO

If she knew it was 2.5 hours driving time, did she know what the actual time was when the driving stopped? What time was it?

If I was looking to abduct someone and drive them around for several hours, I probably wouldn't be driving a car with illegally tinted windows that just begged to be pulled over by police.

That's going to garner the same attention as having a brake light out, expired plates etc.

When KP started talking about how they branded her, he acted like it was pretty bad IMO. I'm wondering if it's a real big scar. Glad it's not on her face. It seemed like it's something he noticed immediately when he saw her.

I'm an hour behind a lot of you. That man got me crying several times.

I am sure the Sheriff's department is not ruling out ANYTHING. And, while we are not going to speculate about a possible hoax involving SP or KP, and rightly so, especially on this site, I think that CG's involvement is fair game. Although I would consider that an actual abduction, and not a hoax.

Free hotel and travel expenses is one perk. Direct pay, not to my knowledge.
