I was thinking what it must be like to have to gain weight back. I was eating an overly generous helping of mac 'n cheese (don't judge) thinking I could probably gain 13 lbs in about 2 weeks or less and not because I wanted to, but SP being so svelte will probably have to work at it longer than I would to get back to her goal weight.

No men, no clients, no sex and no trafficking after 22 days does not equal sex trafficking. I've already gone over the odds of a 34 year old mother of two active in the community being the target of sex traffickers being incredibly low to non existent. I haven't heard or seen anything from LEO that shows they believe the motive was sex trafficking. There is just no real evidence of that at all, zero!

Do we actually know that Sherri did not in fact experience rape during captivity? I know for a fact if it was me in her shoes I would not want the world knowing I had been brutally raped for 3 weeks. I would want privacy on that. Except of course giving that info to LE

I tried deleting but it didn't work...

Nah, I am sure she is close to being back to her normal weight already. Comes back very quick.

This and his "isolated incident" quote elimIinates sex trafficking, JMO

That's what has me so confused about whether this is a case of ST.

part of the rules here is that it has to be MSM, if we completely discount all we read and hear from them then what are we here for?

I don't think tabloids and blogs are necessarily that much more accurate if that's the point. It's just kind of funny/ironic what gets argued are details that just as often are incorrect and when those details are finally/eventually straightened out by someone who has the real info, it's like d'oh!

I know first-hand how wrong a crime story can be as the newspaper crime reporter in my area often gets details wrong and she's had to be corrected multiple times.

Seeing how the media operates in general and witnessing it specifically with crime cases, I take stories not just with a grain of salt but a big serving of it.

This is my theory (so far) ...

There were ST recruiters in the area. Someone took note that SP jogs and by herself. They were out that morning, and saw her again. They decided this was the right time to stop. They asked her for directions (being 2 females); SP assisted them. Then a weapon was pulled which then they demanded her to put the phone down and get in the vehicle. The reason her hair was caught in it is because she took it off quickly. I have fine, blonde hair and it tends to get caught into everything.
She put in down slowly; hence the earbuds neatly in a bundle, trying to buy time in case someone else came by while this was all taking place.
They abducted her, kept her, tortured her, just to realize this was mistake due to publicity, so they decided to release her.

Sounds like a plausible scenario, minus the 22 looong days of captivity before releasing her on Thanksgiving's morning.

No details have been disclosed about that and I would say it's none of the public's business.

Forgive me if this has been addressed. I've found it odd that the person who saw her on the side of the road described her as having long blonde hair, but then we find out her hair was cut short. Has there been a reconciliation of these two things - which it was? Perhaps part of her hair was cut such that part of it was left long? And when she got to the hospital they cut it so it was evened up?

Certainly. But on the other hand, she's stated that her abductors were two women. Very doubtful she'd be raped by two women. Could happen, but very unlikely, IMO. So they really wouldn't be leading anyone to think that if people are willing to believe what the victim is saying.

She could have been raped by women. It happens in prison all the time. And if she was raped by men, it doesn't mean they were involved with her abduction. The women could have advertised her for sex. She could have had encounters with several different men, having nothing to do with her abduction.

her hair was cut to just above shoulder length. Many would call that long blonde hair. jmo

Her hair was down to her bum...if it was cut to below her shoulders she might be devastated...as might her husband. She did not just have "long hair", KP was quoted as saying "signature" long blonde hair.

You mean the GoFundMe money? That was earmarked, from what I've read, for the efforts to find Sherri, and now that she's back, to finding her abductors.

And the money from the AD who said the money would now go to SP and KP.

we talked about dehydration last thread too and a RN pointed out that actual dehydration would have resulted in an overnight stay, most likely. so 4 of 5 probably but not dehydration. The reason I think that is important is because it paints a picture of her captivity at least for me.

I know when examining dogs and cats there are mild, moderate and severe levels of dehydration Treatment is based on the severity. Some cases can be treated with sub q fluids. Many can be given a bag of fluids IV over 2-3 hour period then sent home and rechecked in the next few days. Severe cases did require hospitalization

You guys keep arguing the wording and nuances of media articles, and it's notoriously common that articles are not exactly accurate. Yet the arguing continues. I don't understand why the arguments when it's been said and proven over many cases that reporters and writers can get details wrong, including this case.

In fact, our own verified insider has clarified a few things already...things that the media got wrong.

It's like watching a game of 'telephone' being played with the first person being given a sentence to say, they whisper it to the next person and so on and so forth until the person at the end says what they heard. It's always different than what the first person was told.

Because some of the people arguing haven't read through each and every thread on this case. Therefore it is brought up repeatedly like everything else.

I toss daycare and the finding of her phone into the pool. All in humor. Much as I hate rehashing old threads I appreciate new perspective.

I'd add branding.

And same. :)

I am saying one more thing then dropping it...
If we only go by what "everyone" is saying then what is the sleuthing? It is finding that piece that no body else is talking about that is at the heart of it for me, just like the trucker finding SP on Thanksgiving, hardly anybody knew about that but is it not true because it was not broadly reported?

If you're using Lake16's comment as your source for that info - that isn't what she said.

She was asked about SP's hair and she said it was above the shoulders and that was all she was willing to say about it. That's a paraphrase, but it's close.

In other words, shorter than shoulder length but no specifics on how much shorter.

Someone correct me if I misunderstood, but that's how I took it.

"Long" is subjective. Some consider any hair length down to or below the shoulders as "long." Other don't consider that to be long unless the hair is past bra strap length. Others might consider long hair to be at one's waist.

Her "signature" was her long blonde hair...meaning she was known for having long hair. It was an easily described, identifiable feature. It's apparently been cut to above her shoulders, but that is as much detail as has been released (source: VI Lake16)
