In an interview with ABC News on Friday to promote her new memoir, Papini is saying she was indeed kidnapped after all.

This time, she's claiming that she was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend, James Reyes. During the investigation into her lies, authorities concluded that Papini was staying with Reyes in secrecy while her husband, two children and officials searched for her in 2016.

“I’m not actually asking anyone to believe anything," she told ABC News. "I just am free now, and I have the capacity to speak for myself without being afraid and without having to lie and not being as fearful as I have been before."

James Reyes certainly should! She's publicly slandered him. I don't understand why he was willing to help her, or drive so far to do it. She has that narcissistic charm that some people fall for.

I'd be so interested to find out the psychology behind why some people fall for it and other people can spot it a mile away. I don't think its as simple as 'gullibility', its like narcissists can spot their victims

I wanted to say her secret recording of Keith only showed how even in the face of her lying, cheating, manipulating and blaming, he still remained calm. He even said if you don't like it, don't sign it. He was everything he seems to be and nothing of what she claims. She's absolutely awful and I can't believe they found other wackos to back up her lies and false claims.

Is she trying to redeem herself, or is it about money? Why can’t she just go away quietly, find a job, and live her life.

Exactly!! She clearly thought that recording portrayed him in a negative light, but I thought it did the opposite! He responded much more calmly and rationally than I think most men would in his position.

Part of her plea is owing $300k as a fine for the search I believe. I think she also struggles to stay relevant - which she is not. She really truly loves attention in a way I cannot understand.

So, I finished the stupid 4 part "documentary". It ended the same way it started. Twisting and turning to say she was actually kidnapped and abused by James. With nothing but her word, people believing her word and a couple of questions on a polygraph that were framed in ways she could be telling the truth.
Example- Q: during time x to y, did James ever tell you that you were free to leave? No. It said not deceptive, but he would have no reason to say that because he didnt hold her there!
Q: Did you ask James to brand you? No. Again, she could not have asked hm, but instead TOLD him. So she could pass the question.

Conclusion- shes still an attention seeking liar and I still feel like I was tricked into watching this stupid show.

I got sucked in to watching it too. There is this whole story and build up and then.........the end of it all just makes you feel stupid for wasting your time LOL She tries to play the victim to her husband, who didnt get enough revenge IMO lol Her "New" lawyers remind me of Better call Sol without the humor.
