This is sad...Is anyone even looking for her? No news at all.

I didn't get any info at all from the news stations. I emailed and called, left messages, etc. I haven't gotten a single reply. What in the world....?

Thanks for trying! The only article I have seen is from the 20th! She has been missing for 10 days! Maybe she didn't wander away on her own. Did she own her home? That would be worth quite a bit in San Diego. With her mental capacity I am wondering if she lived alone? Oh, surely not! I am going to do a little research on her home.

I'm sorry sweet lady. I wish I knew how to help find you. No news articles. It is sad that her disappearance seems to have been swept under the rug. You count Shoulain. I hope today is the day you are found.

Bumping for this sweet lady. Absolutely no news since the first day she went missing. No updates. How very sad.
Having lost my mother to dementia, this story hits close to home. I wish there was something I could do to help. All I know to do is to keep her story active. Where are you Shoulain??

My recollection from her previous disappearances is that there wasn't a lot of English spoken by whomever reported her missing and that they had needed to call in translators. That makes it harder for media to follow up themselves.

And unfortunately, with frequently missing people, it's far less common for LE to even update since they almost always play out the same and media doesn't really consider it a 'story.' Sometimes it gets mentioned in newscasts but not print, so it is possible it they aired her being home and none of us locals heard it.

But I'd actually suspect that in this case NOT having heard anything is good news. If she were still missing I think we'd have heard more.

Most days I hear at least 5-10 missing folks w/ dementia or Alzheimer's or something and they're very quick to respond and really put great effort into locating them, and most, if it's not the same day, have certainly been by the next.

And most days, I also hear 2+ calls of a "found" person that either an officer locates or gets flagged down about (or sometimes straight out called in by someone) and they put it county wide to see if anyone has heard of someone matching that description being reported missing or if they know where they live. (And I'd say in about half of those the person, sadly, hadn't even been reported missing...which gets tricky with someone who may not be able to provide a lot of information on their identity or place of residence, etc.)

I am incredibly amazed with the depth of detail officers recall about people in their division, not even just their beat - whether it's at particular residences and recalling having responded, or transients and knowing their names/stories/tendencies, or those who might be at-risk (because of something like dementia or someone who has some MH issues or such)

I'm hopeful that's the case with Mrs Coa and that officers in her area simply located her after looking more in some of her "spots" or someone else called it in or even as a welfare check if seen by a bystander and we just didn't hear it.
