Says there was no "direct hit"...will likely stop water searches tomorrow...

interesting parts of that article too.. 'they don't point 100% to a person or to a suspect...' (maybe at least in the direction of one?). And... 'the promising lab results' promising is a good thing!

I do believe they intended to do the water searches prior to getting the lab results and that the water itself may well not be connected to whatever they have found...but it is ever more mysterious as to what it could be that does not point "100%" to a suspect, as that seems to indicate that it does point in some % to a suspect...JMO

I was curious as to other kidnappings/murders in the Morgan Hill area- what esle has affected the community- and yes, they have had some other sad events....such as a 14 yr old murdered just last Nov-

I just thought of something- why is is necessarily assumed Sierra went missing at 7:15 ish that morning? We don't really know what was on her phone, do we? Could it have been later? It is assumed she left for school at the regular time...

IMO:,evidence may have returned with DNA from mom or bf. I am NOT saying they are guilty.
I am saying moms & bf's DNA could be on anything that belong to Sierra .. She lived with them...
So, if the perp wore gloves HER or HIS prints would not be on nothing, only leaving mom & bf...
So I think this is the reason for the statement "does not point 100 percent" .. They can not be sure the perp didn't have gloves on...

I was nosing around to see if I could find info on recent parolee's in Santa Clara County. Nothing that specific of course, but I found GPS wanted alerts. Not related to Sierra's case, but thought I would post a link anyway. I have not seen this listing before when searching CDC&R.

There certainly are quite a few on the list. I wonder how the procedure works with this. Once they are released are they suppose to report somewhere else to get the GPS device? Is this an ankle bracelet? There are a lot of sex offenders on this listed.

From March 28th:
The Santa Clara County Sheriff's office sent dive teams to Uvas Reservoir, Parkway Lake and Ogier perk pounds on Wednesday. Investigators said they will only send an actual diver into the water if a trained dog that specializes in water borne detection gets a hit for possible human remains.

The dogs and their handlers will be on boats with divers at the ready.

Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith told NBC Bay Area's Marianne Favro that Sierra's abduction was not a planned event. "We believe this was a situational crime," Smith said, meaning it was a crime of opportunity by a stranger. Smith also said she thinks the person who took Sierra knows the south county area very well and has strong ties there.

But the above does seem to indicate that LE has reasons for not focusing on Sierra's family.
