oh another snip: (weren't some speculating that Sierra was part asian? Well it seems that she is:)

Marlene LaMar visits with the volunteers every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, the regular search days. It's easy to see the daughter's likeness in the mother. LaMar, who is half Japanese, has a beaming smile, straight dark hair and easy-going manner. She banters with volunteers, hugs them and even has a good rapport with the television news crews that show up for almost every search.

I got the feeling that her close friends were the ones in Fremont...she may have not had much of a social life in MH as yet...JMO

I agree. Which is the main reason I think she wanted to be with her sister that night. Her big sis was in FREMONT, driving around, visiting friends. I cannot believe that Sierra would not want to be hanging out in Fremont with her.

Especially if, like mom says, she had no other plans. Would she want to sit home with her mom in MH or drive around Fremont with her sis, who she missed a lot?

I'm working out how to download her tweets into a document, hopefully parsed for time and date, and will make available for all. BRB!

You are exactly right. One would have no ides who was going to be pulling our of a drivway or from behind a gate.

A total stranger, IMO, would have to have some dots mssing off their dominoes to pull up at random and take Sierra from her driveway. I have met a few with missing dots, so it's possible...but in this case, I just don't get that sort of feel.

Indeed.
If a car were parked near the entrance, there is no way for anyone to know whether they were casing the surrounding businesses or homes for potential robbery.
Therefore, any vehicle just idling along around the end of the cul-de-sac, would have faced scrutiny.

As I recall, Marlene had said that those clothes in the bag were what she believed Sierra was wearing that day. This eliminated my thoughts on Sierra packing a bag for later that day.

This is an enormous clue. Either way, the perp left a signature.

Please link to this. I've never, ever heard Marlene say this. TIA.

I've heard/read Marlene say THIS.... I will keep linking this so.....

GRACE: Do you know what shirt it was that was found in the bag?

LAMAR: Yes, I do, but I don`t want to say what it was exactly. Because I don`t want to interfere with the investigation.

Yet again I post the SAME thing. Marlene has NEVER said.

Is this the profile of a sexual pedophile to fold clothes after an abduction? Not sure. This seems like a caring act - from someone who knew Sierra - IMO

I don't see the folded clothes as a "caring act", I see it as part of his RITUAL. This abductor is highly methodical, and has a "routine." I still believe the placement of the Juicy Bag and other items were done with specific intent, as a taunt, or a "calling card." Just my thoughts, but said with a very, very strong instinct. (Disclaimer: "Instincts" are like noses...we all have them!)

Praying for Sierra.

Here is what I think and lets drop Rick ok
Just like in the Laci Peterson case Laci own Father Dennis till the trial was really never seen or heard, reason he was not really in Lacis life Sharon an Ron who raised her was.
In this case Rick is keeping the focus where it should be Finding Sierra by staying out of the media eye and letting her mom and Dad do all the talking.

I agree with you.

I also think that if the media attention dies down, then having RG start doing interviews will be a way to keep media attention just a little longer. So I'm just as happy for him to be low profile for now, while Sierra's case is still getting lots of attention.

The longer Sierra's case stays in the media, the more likely it is that someone will turn in the tip that counts.

Could searching the reservoirs be a tactic by the LE to make the kidnapper/s think that they are looking for a body when in fact they are closing in on the Kidnapper/s

No, they don't have the resources to play the red herring game. They are searching those reservoirs because they have (I'm speculating), received compelling information that leads them to believe they will find something significant in those areas.

This case will be solved.

Continued prayers for Sierra.

If I have a handle on which of her friends live in Fremont, she went there the weekend of March 10th...and was very excited about it the weekend before, looking forward to it. I think I know one friend in particular must be in Fremont as she sometimes stays there and calls it another "home". I don't see much reference to partying in MH, that seems to go on more in Fremont as far as I can tell...JMO

I think this is what Whisperer may be referring to.

March 23 interview with parents

Reporter: The fact that her clothing was folded up in her bag, does that say to you that she was preparing to go somewhere, maybe?

Marlene: I-I, I have no idea. You know, I haven't seen the item- I haven't seen the bag or the items. So, I can't really comment on that. You know, as far as the condition is was- to give you feedback about that.

Reporter: The sheriff said they think it was a Sharks jersey. Did she have-

Marlene: She took a picture of herself, right before she left. She frequently took pictures of herself because she was into her hair and makeup. And uh, that was common for her to do something like that. And she was wearing a Sharks sweatshirt in that picture.

Reporter: In the picture she took-

Marlene: On the computer.

Reporter:-last friday morning?

Marlene: Yes, on the computer.

Reporter: Wearing that Sharks sweatshirt?

Marlene: That's correct.

Reporter: Then, would it be logical to assume she left the house in that?

Marlene: Yes. I would assume that since she took that on the computer right before she left for the bus stop.

Reporter: And that's what was found in the bag?

Marlene: Um, I-I think, I think so.

Well the last sentence sounds like they are getting close... Very interesting for him to let the perp know LE is on her/his tail...

The one about her walking in the door?:waitasec:
I am confused...where are you getting that they may be close, if I may ask? I don't get that from this article at all...JMO

I can see her mom not knowing for sure which clothes are missing...Sierra herself wrote that she had "too many homes" and "no home" and her stuff was probably scattered around places where she stayed...JMO

I was quoting from Nursebeme(sp) post above.

A month after missing teen Sierra LaMar vanished on the way to school, her hopeful mother shows up whenever volunteers gather before scouring the fields, creeks and back roads in search of the girl whose complete disappearance has mystified police and captivated the nation.
"Thank you for the presence of everyone in the room right now," says Marlene LaMar to the searchers who always begin their task with a group prayer. In recent days, the mother linked hands with three dozen volunteers.
While the disappearance on the morning of March 16 of the petite, outgoing 15-year-old with a passion for cheerleading, rap music, Twitter and the color pink has drawn sympathy coast to coast, little has emerged from the investigation to unravel the mystery of where she is. Detectives on the case are quietly putting the scattered pieces of evidence together like a problematic jigsaw puzzle, revealing little except to the girl's family.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office said that's simply how it does business. The agency does not provide details as they come up because detectives aren't sure how important each detail is, where it might lead them or what might happen, says department spokesman Sgt. Jose Cardoza. There's no telling what Sierra's kidnappers, if there are any, or reluctant witnesses might do if they knew how close investigators were getting.

I would think most perps would want to get rid of a body ASAP...if they have any brains at all. Who would chance driving a long way with a corpse unless it was well concealed?

That's kind of my point.

To me, driving 30 miles would still seem local to me.

In some other areas, driving 30 miles would be a long distance haul.

If I killed someone right here, I know where I would go to dump the body so it wouldn't be found soon (about 70 miles away, perfect spot). I always have blankets in my vehicle, so I wouldn't worry about anyone seeing the body from outside. I'd just drive the speed limit and play music but not so loudly as to attract attention from other drivers (so I could tap the steering wheel and pretend everything was cool).

It sounds to me like you'd be likely to dump a body within a couple miles. <just kidding>

It all depends on the perp, what they think of as local or long distance, whether they had already picked out the spot they think of as the perfect spot, etc.
