I also betcha they are talking to a lOT of people right now that are known associated to the car even if the car had been stolen previously, etc etc etc...

I bet they are very busy right now!

I am SO hoping that she will be found alive, but we also heard the same thing in the Samantha Koenig case. I am praying for a good outcome!

Santa Clara County sheriffs deputies say they have now recovered a red mid-90's VW Jetta wanted in connection with the search for missing teenager Sierra Lamar.

"The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the public’s response by providing information on the vehicle in question," officials said in a written statement. "Investigators do have the vehicle in their custody but are asking the public to report any sightings of this vehicle and/or occupants during the time surrounding Sierra’s disappearance."

The one I saw that a member posted from Craigslist had gold colored wheels on it. I thought that looked really funky.

cluciano and I both posted the same picture of a jetta with a black hood but after looking at sarx's photo, it's not the same car. The door handles were red and there was no sunroof.

If it wasn't before, it really is crunch time for LE. If Sierra is alive and is being held against her will, she's in the most danger she has been in since day one. If the red car is, in fact, the predator's car, he probably feels the walls closing in on him...I hope she hangs in there.

Yeah, I noticed that, too; I posted the one with the gold wheels. Definitely not the same one. Both have been modified, though. The one they found has big custom wheels on the front and it looks like stock (?) wheels on the back. I am just glad they found it. Keeping my fingers crossed.
