I think he may have had an accomplice. Anyone else?

None of the women in the three Safeway attempts reported two men, did they? Also the San Jose attempt (which I don't know for a fact was him, but strongly feel it was) was a lone abductor.

I don't think he had an accomplice, moo.

I have to agree. As sad as it is and as much as we all didn't want it to be so, I just cannot see LE here coming out and saying she was murdered without them having the evidence to back it up.

Maybe someone knows the answer to my question. His car has been impounded since 3/28 and LE were actively soliciting witnesses AND he did what? Did he go to LE and say "That's my car, what are you doing with it?" "Why do you have my car?"

It's pretty strange that LE has the car and he just goes about his business through April & May!!! I'm missing something here.

They are pretty darn certain she is deceased. They have no blood. They must have something big enough to tell us what they have, but I'll be da.. if I can understand it, and I've been reading literally all day long.

I thought it was asked if blood was found on Sierra's property and stated as a No. I dont believe it has been stated Sierra's blood was not found.

Just another thought here but usually there something that triggers people like this to start on their crime spree. For instance a man with "mommy issues" might target women that resemble his mother.<modnsip>

So very sorry you have suffered the ultimate loss Isabelle :rose: For LE to come out and state and charge with Murder i believe they have something concrete. Perhaps a weapon was found or vehicle with Sierra's blood. A guess but it has to be concrete. MOO

All reports today have said no blood has been found. I think because Sierra was huge on social media and with her friends. And with no contact in over 2 months that is what LE is basing it on.

Wait, I thought they'd had the car since 4/7?

Thinking about today's events and knowing what it feels like to lose a child, if I were Sierra's mother I would have been very upset that LE offered me condolences. I would fell as though they have given up and were no longer interested in finding her. I just don't know how Sierra's mom is handling this. LE does not know she is dead, or do they? Dunno about this!

Iam wondering the same about this too they knew who the perp was from the dna they found on the clothing , So I don't understand the 24hour surviellance did they just assume he had allready killed her they wouldn;t have had any idea they should have been searching his house back when his name come up fron the dna match just seems odd to me they didn't go after him at the very second they got the dna match who knows they could have saved her life maybe at that time ...Very Strange too me.

His sister stated they took his car, he gave DNA swabs, and he knew he was being watched.

He probably went about his business because he A) knew he had to be as normal as possible B) didn't care or C) a combination of a and b

What an absolute creep and I hope he gets what he deserves!

Poor Sierra....it's heartbreaking!

I have a question. Has it been stated at all at what point she was abducted from? Her house? The bus stop?

Both AGT and his mother were well aware of the surveillance for 2 months, and even found the GPS tracking devices on both of their cars.

Smith said from March 28 on, Garcia-Torres was under 24-hour surveillance, hoping they would find Sierra.

"He may have believed he was under surveillance," Smith said. "We talked to him multiple times.''

In fact, Laura Torres, Garcia-Torres' mother, confirmed that she and her son were aware that they were being watched starting about two months ago. She said GPS devices were found under both of their cars.

Garcia-Torres called her overnight after his arrest. "He said 'Mom, be strong. I need you strong' " to help take care of his wife and child.

After investigators took his Jetta, Torres said she asked her son if he had anything to do with the case. "He said 'I've never seen that lady, I've never made contact with her.' "

It's a good theory.

I am no expert, but after reading the teacher comments, and friends statements, and people that knew him back in High School, I feel like he is perpetuating some youth that he felt in the past, or maybe some aggression associate with it?

This is all my speculation. However, I really do feel that in the past 2.5-3 years, something triggered these events OUT of him. There is obviously one thing I refer to off the bat, which is the "settling down" he tried to accomplish.

I hope I made some sense up there.

They were hoping he would lead them to the body.

They watched him carefully to make sure he wasn't going to get anyone else. I think he looked to the surveillance team as if he might bolt or harm someone else, so they snatched him up on whatever charges they had for him.

I thought it was asked if blood was found on Sierra's property and stated as a No. I dont believe it has been stated Sierra's blood was not found.

While LaMar's body has not been found, the sheriff said there is strong evidence pointing to homicide. Smith said investigators have not found any blood, and she refused to say any more on the nature of the physical evidence found on LaMar's clothes and in the suspect's vehicle.

Day off perhaps?

Speaking of day off. In the interview I saw of his sister today. She said he had not been working? Do we have any idea how long?

Another story quoted his Mom as saying he traveled to work near to Sierra's home. Was that as a landscaper or scrap metal worker?

Are they native speakers of English? If not, they might be trying to say, "she hasn't turned up yet". Since "turned up" is kind of an idiomatic expression, they might not know the phrase. If they're native speakers, then never mind-the use of "coming up" is weird.

I took it exactly like you described. I think the way that phrase came out was more of a language issue.

Because they were hoping he would lead them to her at some point....just one reason, probably the main one.
