Thank you for the above quote. I went back and listened to this part of the interview a few times and here is what I get (like you above, but a little more of the conversation...)

Lori Torres (momma) says:
"He say that he never see the lady. He don't have any contact with her. He say that all the time he passing close (or clothes???) but the police say that they have evidence in the car."

Why this concerns me is that mom isn't outright denying that son/perp was involved, just that the police say they have evidence and that they must be wrong because he didn't have any contact with Sierra. Add this to the sister saying that there isn't enough evidence to "convict" makes me shake my head. JMO

I heard her say that. What do you think she meant? Could he have been looking for work in the fields or maybe even working there? just a thought.

My opinion is that his Mom was referring to him telling her that his car was seen in the area. I believe she meant he told her that his car passed the area/s where she went missing and/or where her property was found ("all the time he passing close").

ETA: And that is the main explanation this predator gave his Mother as to why LE has arrested him.

Makes me wonder about the red car, who's really is it, because this car that he's posing beside on his MySpace page is newer, blue and not that other one. Now, is that maybe a second vehicle, or his wifes? I'm confused on the vehicle right now.

So he is living @ home with his Mother and his pregnant wife and baby in his room that he videotaped he and a friend using a hookah pipe? Looks like a couple of pictures of pot and one pic of him exhaling smoke.

There are no sheets on his bed . . . his outside view from his bedroom looks like a gate or fence and an orange tree (?) nearby in the neighbor's yard? This might be a more recent video and not from the farmhouse but looks like it could be from the trailer.

This is California. Medical marijuana is legal and common.

I thought at first she said 'fancy clothes'. But, that didn't make any sense to me. But, I have always wondered if the Juicy Bag and clothes were hidden to later come back for. I think he would know that was an expensive bag, but it was just a thought. jmo

Before moving to the trailer park, Garcia-Torres and his family were thrown out of a Morgan Hill farmhouse in the summer of 2010 for keeping pit bulls on the property and allowing non-tenants to stay there, one of their landlords said. She spoke on condition of anonymity, saying she was concerned for her privacy.

"They were the nightmare that never ended," the landlord said.

Klaas said that volunteer searches will resume at his foundation's command center at Burnett Elementary School at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.

"We have every intention of helping authorities locate Sierra," he said. "We have every intention of continuing to look for her until she's located. To that end, we intend to keep looking for her until her remains are found."

Besides bringing Sierra home to her family, Klaas said that finding her will be an integral part of prosecuting Garcia-Torres.

"Currently, the killer has a bargaining chip, and we want to remove that from him," he said. "We need to be able to fast track this SOB straight to hell. No passing 'Go.' No collecting $200."
