I'm confused. The news reports say the can contained what 'looked to be human remains' and it is not yet known if it is a male or female. Where did the picture of the stretcher come from?

Be wary of the media!

The very first mini report said a female body had been found and that Alameda investigators were in contact with Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office.

Now it's, they saw what looked like remains (dead a long time) and can't tell if it's male or female. And no other agencies are involved.

It's almost better to just go to bed and check the news in the morning, in the newspaper, just like the old days.

Their silence on saying it isn't Sierra is foreboding, though.

So, they now say they KNOW what she was wearing the morning she disappeared. Is that based on her clothes showing signs of being worn or based on that all along they knew her exact clothes but didn't want to let on about that part, so they kept saying, we don't know what she was wearing. If they KNOW they are the clothes she was wearing, how do they KNOW? Do they have a picture from a surveillance video? Was the picture of her sticking out her tongue actually from the morning of March 16th, so they know she had on that Sharks jersey that morning. Still, that doesn't prove she had on those clothes. Where is the proof of the clothes she had on if no one she knows saw her after 6am, when I assume she wasn't dressed yet.

Ahh...the possibilities. I wonder if LE reads this sight and thinks we're all cukoo for coca-puffs.

:silly:

Those facts were all taken From the Statement of Fact, dated May 24, 2012 and written by Sergeant Herman Leon, #1685, Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office

That's all I know ..:waitasec:

I keep thinking that LE could have just gone with a kidnapping charge for now, to get him off the streets and added murder later, but they didn't, so to me that means they DO have enough pieces of evidence to tie him to Sierra and to show that she is not alive. JMO

As far as knowing if Sierra had worn those clothes that morning...it should be a simple matter, if her DNA, etc was found inside of her jeans, her underclothes, etc...if deodorant showed up on the top...to draw the conclusion that she had worn them that day. JMO

It is insanely late where I am and I should go to bed. But I won't sleep now.

'Just like the old days'. Yes, I sometimes think that was better. I feel really nutty right now waiting for this to be sorted.

The areas of focus should be south Santa Clara County and the land bordering our county such as north San Benito County, north Monterey County and east Santa Cruz County.

I do find it curious though, that the articles say "nothing like this has ever happened here before" (Pleasanton) around the same time they are searching for Sierra.

Sure hope they do that presser before I have to leave for my kids school!

:seeya: same state neighbor. I have been sooooo impressed with the SC county LE since the beginning of this missing person case. I trust them to have all those little ducks in a row for SL and her family. I have faith.

My driveway is 2000' long but it is inside a fenced gated property. I'm sure it would seem longer if it was along open fields and roads with traffic. But you are correct when you say it isn't a great distance.

They might be saying that based on her undergarments.

Yeah you just take yours out to the south 40

I have a burn barrel for trash. lol. And then I take the recycle to town. Woot.

And I just read that Pleasanton has either 35 gallon or 90 gallon trash cans provided by their garbage service. No 45 gallon mentioned.

JMO and all that ... it could be from a "commercial" site nearby that doesn't have a dumpster? Just guessing.
