I don't see Safeway being in the picture re: Sierra...aren't there cameras around there? I know he did some stupid stuff there but to return with a body when there are, unfortunately, way too many places to hide one without fear of being seen?

I agree. I don't think he went near Safeway. Sierra was abducted early in the morning. IMO he didn't keep her for long. I think the bag was a mistake. He either overlooked it or considered keeping it but realized he had committed murder and had to dump all evidence ASAP. I can picture him driving home & thinking & starting to get panic-y about the bag in his car & just dumping it at the closest place to where the panic set in. He may have had a plan to go back & hide it better later but just had to get rid of it ASAP. Maybe he met a patrol car or just starting having worries "what if they've noticed she is missing & have set up road blocks?"; "what if someone saw me & they are looking for my car?", ...

BBM for the purpose of friendly discussion -
It appears LE strongly believes Sierra was placed in a lake/reservoir based upon their extensive search efforts.
That would lead me to believe the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 had her for some time since he would need to get her to where he had a boat, and perhaps then wait till nightfall...

In the past I asked whether he has access to a boat or not. Either his own, a family member's, a friend's? The thought crossed my mind if perhaps evidence or a scent dog hit on this boat and maybe that's why they feel confident Sierra is in the water. IMO, this would be a pretty strong indicator if it happened.

Yes! It's got to be something like that, considering all the effort LE is putting into water searches...
When you mention a friend - that brings up the thought he may not have acted alone.

Is that the same fool who was on here a few weeks ago that everybody kept asking to get authenticated? Forgot his screen name but he never came back.

No doubt it is the same person, but it was a couple of months ago, I recall.

You know, he could have placed that purse in one of the dumpsters by SAFEWAY (yes, I'm obsessed with this whole SAFEWAY connection....), and some homeless person could have rummaged through the dumpster and taken it to their "special camp" where it was found. That kind of makes sense when you think of the siamese cats, etc. This is a stretch, of course, but who knows. It doesn't mean his DNA still wouldn't be associated with the articles, but perhaps others have touched it as well. We shall see.

Jewelry....
I don't know why I just thought of this, but the day I volunteered for one of the searches, there was a big emphasis on looking for jewelry that could possibly be Sierra's. "Look for jewelry." I know that Sierra's mother has said something about this in the press as well? I think there must be something specific they are looking for...perhaps a distinctive piece of jewelry? Have they searched that scumball's house with a careful eye out for any related jewelry? This feels very important all of a sudden. Not sure why, but it's a strong impression and instinct for me. Anyone else get any connection with jewelry?

They did search and take items from the house. We don't know what was found in the vehicle. I hope that they had a description of the jewelry prior to the house search.

What did he do with Sierra?

Her mom was so vague about jewelry, just said that Sierra liked to wear some, so to keep an eye out...I didn't get the impression that she was talking about a particular piece...and I never noticed Sierra wearing anything in any photos all the time...I just felt like she wanted people to take note if they saw anything a young girl might have worn...

As far as Safeway...I just don't see it, with Sierra. That was his trolling grounds until he "graduated" to finding Sierra on a deserted road and he was probably in "heaven" at the very idea that he could literally take her anywhere and do whatever he wanted...I think he went someplace very isolated but known to him, and then ended up with her purse in the car later so had to dump it quick...

Forget it. NO WAY.

O.K., so let's work with this theory. Who amoung his known associates or relatives has a boat, even a small skiff? I would hope it's been examined with a fine tooth comb. I would also suggest that the disposal method used in the Lacy Peterson murder be considered. Perhaps he followed the same routine, of sorts. Do we know if he had made any recent purchases at the local hardware store such as tarps, rope, tape, bricks, anything like that?

I don't think the police or DA is going to release anything they have on this case until trial - or when discovery is given to the defense... :maddening: unfortunately, not like Florida!

Also, rosesfromangels, didn't they tell you WHAT KIND of jewlery to look for when you went searching?? Strange, thought they would at least tell you "what" to look out for....:waitasec:

Oh, WHERE are you, Sierra!!??!! :dunno:

BBM. Actually, I learned yesterday, that all is quiet in the DA's office right now regarding Sierra LaMar, and that David Boyd is one of the best!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I just read an article about the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department releasing files regarding the arrest of the suspect in the Sierra Lamar case...

Sierra LaMar update: Documents Released, Searches Continue

Here is an excerpt from the article:

What's most interesting about the documents within this release is that the discoveries of evidence differs slightly from media reports. It was earlier reported that the bag and clothing belonging to Sierra were found in a field, but the fact of the matter is different. Sierra's belongings, along with DNA belonging to both her and Antolin Garcia-Torres, in an abandoned shed. That sheds more light on the possibilities of what happened to the young woman.

Thanks Theologian, off to read now.

Does anyone on the ground have any feedback about Sierra's family are doing? I imagine it might be very hard now with the initial adrenalin wearing off and the focus shifting.

Oh that article is by Hoffman who is not very accurate (as per her usual efforts). The statement of facts has been out awhile and it states it was found in a field near a shed, not in a shed as CH incorrectly extrapolates. There are screen shots of video of what is presumed to be the bag against the shed in prior threads. It is very old news.

Thank you for the correction. I will make sure not to read Hoffman for further information concerning the Sierra Lamar case.
