It's making my head spin. It's bad enough hearing about the cases here on WS but in reality it doesn't even scratch the surface :(

I am confused, I just popped over to the Linnea thread - have two bodies been found in separate locations? I may have read an article about Linnea and assumed there was only one. I also read it was locals walking, and then searchers.
Yes 2, separate locations.

I know...often the bodies found are people we have never heard of, or were even reported missing. Boggles the mind. I don't even know if they ever identified the woman they found earlier in the investigation in this case, the woman whose remains were in a trash can :(

are there any other missing females is that general area? I can't recall right at the moment.

Deanna Brooks from Santa Cruz, missing since August 24.

Brooks planned to drive south on Highway 101 in her gold Chrysler PT Cruiser for a birthday party that weekend. She and the car have not been found

The Cannon Rd location is also very close to where Janet Sorenson's body was found in January. I'm not implying a connection, but I realized the location was familiar. Her 29 year old son was arrested as a murder suspect.

The sheriff's office responded to the area of Highway 129 about a mile west of Highway 101 and recovered a "partially decomposed body," according to a statement from Salinas police.

I don't mean to sound heartless, but was really hoping Sierra had been found. So many people have been searching for her, for six months now. And will likely have to continue...

oh me , I hope whoever this person is, they will be able to find out who and what happened. So sad.
BUT if is isn't Sierra, it just goes to show you never know, she may be found yet!
Have Hope

It might possibly be Viktoriya Ioffe, last seen in San Jose.

  • #848
Maybe Larissa Huntsman from Walnut Creek?

A tip from me. Don't type body found into a twitter search or human remains found as on any given day, there's too many.

It's just beyond imagination, it goes on constantly :(

Just came across this while checking to see if there was any more news about the bodies :(

"Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) attended a vigil last night for LaMar, and announced she'd be pushing state legislators to author a bill that would force school officials to notify parents immediately should a child not show up for class."

A few of us have tripped over the link to a story from December 2010. To avoid any further confusion, I'm going to remove the posts that refer to it and humbly beg your apologies for my contribution to the misunderstanding. :sigh: ;)

I'm still trying to figure out how it popped up on the top of our media threads, ugh, not what I needed today.

Aromas lies about 25 miles South of Morgan Hill. The place would be to the west off hwy 156. If you drive on #101 South from Morgan Hill, it is not far at all. It is doable.

RT @abc7newsBayArea: #BREAKING: Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department confirms the body found in San Benito County is a female.

Has to be a darn good reason for Santa Clara to be there. I wonder what condition the body was in when found.

This is a very remote area right off of the HWY, a huge euc grove. This area had been covered early on, and has been the site of body dumps before sadly. I'm guessing that calling in Santa Clara was nothing more than precautionary, better safe than sorry. This ensures that chain of command and everything is accountable if it happened to be Sierra. I don't think there's anything more to it than that.
I will try and get a map up, but I am beyond exhausted, so, we'll see.

  • #859
No problem Sarx. I'm tracking down some stuff. I have conflicting stories going on. One says they are pretty sure it is not Sierra.

  • #860
Everything I am seeing is saying it's not her. While remote, if they found this person where I think they did, it is a place where a lot of people pull off to do a variety of things (personally I would never, it gives me the creeps), so it seems unlikely that it would be very old.

It's one of those, where you could be feet off the highway and people wouldn't see, but it gets frequented enough that things couldn't be left there for a long time.

Oh man, I am talking in circles...
